I am personally a big fan of the kid. I thought he did very well in limited action last year. I know a lot of people are high on Jay Ajayi to be the #2 RB behind Miller, but I like Williams to win it. Either way it should make for some nice competition. I also think we let Miller walk after this year.

“I love our room,” he said. ‘We actually talk all the time about how we’re all different but kind of the same. We all bring different personalities to the table and I feel like we can all feed off of each other if we’re all here at the end of the day.

“I think we kind of all know once we step out on the field it’s a business. It’s a job. We all want the job. Nobody wants to be the backup for the rest of their life. It’s difficult, but you kind of know your place at the same time. You’re never going to just down a guy or if he needs help you’re not going to help him. We’re always there for each other — young, old, it doesn’t matter. But there’s a difference. You’ve got to know how to separate them.”

Old? I guess that's a reference to Miller who's the old man of the group lol.

I think Miller, Williams and Ajayi are locks...the question is will James make the team as the 4th RB? Do we need a 4th RB? We've read reports on how much James has flashed and how they seem to have a "package" for him. I'll be curious to see if he does anything in the preseason.

Didn't he feel good last year too? We don't see much from him. He's a nobody for now. I hope Lamar plays well again and Ajayji is as good as advertised. Our running game has been pretty non impressive for a while. Sure Lamar hit 1K last year but isn't that the expectation?

meh. if we run with the hot hand approach i'm fine with that. however this coaching staff tends to worry about reps more than rhythm.

Williams came on in the latter part of the season as a receiving threat. Made some big plays coming out of the backfield. He certainly showed flashes last year and made the re-signing of Daniel Thomas inconsequential.

We still don't know what Ajayi can do on a pro field, so right now the second RB spot is Williams' spot to lose.

There's gonna be some tough decisions to make at rb this year. Someone worthy of a roster spot is gonna get cut. Miller, Ajayi, Williams, James, gillislee. I've heard some pretty good things about lamicheal. He is a good return man too, so he has a shot. Gonna be interesting. I think Williams had a leg up because of his size. James and gilislee are both tiny. I'm rooting for all of them but its not gonna happen that way. I root for gillislee because he said it had always been his dream to be a fin. Gotta like that.

I feel if Williams doesn't make the team, he will be scooped up by the Pats and make us look like fools for 2 years before they move on from him and he isn't heard from again.

People say that with every player we release.

Totally agree, they are locks to make the roster. It will be interesting to if we keep James or Gillislee as a fourth back.

Miller is going to be a Dolphin for a long time. The kid does all the right things both on and off the field. He's a local U of M guy who we drafted and groomed. He's had an excellent off season putting on 5 lbs of pure muscle without losing any of his super speed. He did a great job last year behind a mostly lousy line. Look for him to kick major butt this season. Damien Williams is a very solid kid who runs hard, has deceptive speed and the best hands of any of our backs. He's just finding his role with the Dolphins and he will be a key contributor on a go forward basis. Now comes Jay Ajayi!!!! The kid fell right into our lap and boy are we going to get dividends from this guy. Strong, downhill runner in the mold of Marshawn Lynch, except smaller and shiftier. We're stacked at RB!!! Better shape than we've been in years!. LaMichael James is a kid I loved in college and he has yet to make his mark in the NFL. Underwhelmed with the 49ers and buried on the depth chart with us but this kid could be returning kicks and coming into games with a special package designed to take advantage of the matchup problems he causes defenses. Finally, he may be a good player, but Gillesee won't make the final 53 imo. There's simply too much talent ahead of him. I feel that if our o-line holds up, Turner gives us some quality football, we could have a running attack that is scary-good. As loaded as we are at RB we're even more loaded at receiver!!! Tannehill's been super sharp in camp and I think we can put together an offense that can take us deep into the playoffs! Now, as usual, we have to go out, stay healthy and put it together on the field. The FO has put a roster together that is young, deep and hungry and I can't wait for the Dolphins to come out and beat the dogshi* out of teams this season. I didn't talk about our defense which I love and is lead by SUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, we really have him!!!! Are we ready for some football??????

I really liked what I saw from Williams as a reciever out of the backfield. Other than one terrible drop in the end zone, he has made some great catches and great YAC. Definitely think he has a place on the roster.

I have felt good about Williams each time I have seen him. I love the effort. I hope he makes the roster.
