Just came home to watch the game and got the dreaded "searching for authorized content" which basically meant that the game was on local channels and my DVR was going to record black...

I HATE the fact that even though you pop 300 dollars for sunday ticket that some lame *** law prevents you from watching it via what you paid for and you have to watch it on the local stations. I NEVER tune into the local stations because in illinois it is always the bears/packers and colts/whatever prime game is on. I never thought to check.

LAME!

Even worse, I just noticed we lost. Great. Merry Christmas to me....

If your local affiliare (FOX ABC) is broadcasting the game. DTV has to black out that game for your area

Geez, sucks being you! [it's happened to me before, when I once had the ticket]

I guess, I'm 2nd only to you, today in a disappointing experience (not including the bitter defeat).

I had to listen to the XM radio broadcast.

Yea that happend to me before too ...But i watched it live...So its all good...Yea was a great game...I think you can watch the shortcut...if you have superfan which is another thing to complain about...

It could get shown again on NFL network Replay so take a look into that.

It could be worse. You can be stuck with Cowboys and Texans games week in and week out like me. I do have NFL Ticket thou.

the game was blacked out in the tennessee area?

Blackouts shouldn't affect direct tv unless you are in the local market. Regardless, it is stupid. You pay for something, you should be able to use it. I don't see how the blackout on the ticket channels has anything to do with revenue.

was the game blacked out though?

advice to u, dont rewatch the game, its painful to rewatch. im gonna try to avoid watching the game again or any highlights bc it was heartbreaking.

this is a game where i thought after coming bak, and making stops on d, and winning the coin toss we were destined to win, but we dont. and the refs were awful, not the main reason we lost, but rlly bad.

Which is lame as hell and makes no sense. Why does it matter?

I meant that if the CBS or Fox station broadcasting in your area is telivising the game then Direct TV cannot broadcast the game to you on the ticket.

Since you live in IL, It doest matter if the game is blacked out in nashville.

It matters becasue your local station could potentially lose viewers and that means negative $$$.

F*** my local tv station. I don't pay them.

That sucks man, even though we didn't win it was a nail biter for sure. I've never had that happen (I'm in the Miami market) but I have had the game set to record, come back, and the Tivo is frozen because or rain or a little clouds... so I feel you.
