Is Huard the Dolphins version of the "Curse of the Bambino"
Miami has been in a tailspin as far as the QB position goes since Dan retired and things are up in the air now in 2005.
OK ..... now I know Huard is no Bambino but he did earn championship rings from Super Bowls XXXVI and XXXVIII with New England.
Marino personally worked with the mobile Huard and he had Marino's endorsement as his successor and Huard went 5-1 when called on to start when Marino was hurt.
While Huards career hasn't been stellar I just wonder how different the Phins and Huard would have been instead of going with the Feidler option.

Marino is quite an act to follow but Huard relishes the challenge. After starring for the Frankfurt Galaxy in 1998, Huard moved up the Dolphins depth chart and went 5-1 as a starter in relief of Marino last season.
Marino said: "Damon's a heck of a guy. He's capable of doing the job. He did well last season when he played." And Huard revealed the advice given to him by Marino when he admitted: "Dan said, 'There's going to be highs and lows. Just keep fighting. Have that same mentality when you have three interceptions as you do when you have three touchdowns. Keep firing away'."
