I see the Jets released him recently. I wonder if the Dolphins have any interest in giving him a second look, he had a good preseason for Miami last summer. Likely the best pass play by the Dolphins in all of 2017.

The thing with those guys and anyone really in the NFL is consistency. Just about any player in the NFL has the ability to make a great play once. The question becomes can they be consistent?

Hell, that's the story of life. It's easy to be special once but it's terribly hard to put it all together day in and out.

It's honestly what separate the special players/people from everyone else.

Is Dick Stockton gonna call the preseason again this year? That dude needs to retire already.

Given the culture change movement, I don't see any old fringe players being given another chance. The goal is to sweep away the old, and fringe players are rarely worth jeopardizing that. Plus, if the front office deemed him not good enough, now is not the time to say that either A) our roster is less talented than before, or B) we made a mistake letting you go.

I think Stringfellow's path lies elsewhere. Good luck to him.

He had 1 great play against 3rd string players and hasn't been heard from since. The Jets had very few receivers last year, and he didn't see the field there. I know he had some off-field issues too. No thanks.

Oh don't be unkind. Old Dick is a spritely 75 years (and loaded with viagra). He's been broadcasting continuously since the late 1960's and there's a good chance his career will outlast Damore'ea Stringfellow's.
