Dan Campbell....."I'm Born To Coach"

Dan Campbell was quoted as saying this when interviewing with the announcers the night before the San Diego game.:lol: I don't know who or what he is born to coach but please tell me that it is not the Miami Dolphins!!!!!! It may be in his blood but I see nothing but losing seasons with him as coach. This team needs a whip cracked and an intelligent football mind and in this case Dan's not the man.
 
Campbell doesn't look like a young Don Shula, if Ross wants to know. Heck he doesn't look like a young Belichick, Jimmy Johnson, Cowher, or any great coach. Sits his best players way too long, doesn't have a clue in terms of x's and o's, and generally needs a bunch of excellent assistants and coordinators to help him. No thanks.

kind of like Mike Tomlin is who he reminds me of. He could be good w those coordinators you mention.
 
Campbell was put in a very difficult HC position with the staff and players Philbin had assembled. Not sure he gets full blame here and wherever he ends up I wish him the best.
 
I think a lot may depend on who Campbell can bring in with him. If he has good young minds that are willing to join him then he could have a shot. At least if we keep losing, which we will, we are in line for a top 5 pick. There's some serious talent coming out next draft imo and if we could get a good draft he could have a lot to work with. I mean, not really, we'll still suck, but at least our next coach will have a good pick that might be worth a lot to a qb needy team.
 
I for 1 love Campbell yes he has made some bad decisions but I have this crazy/funny feeling that there is so much that he has zero control on.So far that it all happens behind closed doors.

There are some things that have went on in Miami even with Philbin here that no coach can **** up...I know it sounds like a conspiracy but I have this crazy feeling I'm not far off.
 
I think he could be good, but he has a long way to go. He needs to be a coordinator first, then assistant head coach for a couple years.
 
Would I hire him to be my personal trainer? Hell yes! NFL Head Coach. No! Seriously though, he has a place in the league. He'll latch on somewhere if not here, but he'll have to get a lot better if he ever wants to be a head coach again.
 
I think Dan Campbell would be a great college football coach. Maybe someday an NFL coach but can't have him learn on the fly as Dolphins coach.
 
He needs to spit spitting all the time and at least try to look the part. He'd make a great baseball coach though.

Yeah, I cant hold this **** show against him. The guy was thrust by necessity into a position he just isnt equipped to handle at this time. Not his fault the Fins are the most dysfunctional franchise in football.
 
Really not getting the ripping of the guy. Guy was our TE coach, and at least he's shown a backbone firing coaches, benching players for **** ups. More than we ever saw from Philbin in 3+ years. Blame Philbin for assembling a staff who's closest thing to a HC is a 5th year TE coach. At least the guy wore his heart on his sleeve, wishing him the best wherever he ends up.

I think he's going to be a very good HC one day.
 
Not one coach should survive this season, they all need to go !!!
