Sack Monster
Dan Connor is undoubtedly the best player available and has been for probably 30 or 40 picks. Why he has fallen this far is a mystery to me. Since we've let go our franchise middle linebacker, this is an obvious pick. (Or is it?) NFL draft decisions are not something I've ever understood. This seems to be pretty obvious. Connor is better than any linebacker on the team - including Crowder and Ayodele. Ayodele is a serviceable starter, but he's not any better (if at all) than Morlon Greenwood was. Reggie Torbor, if he is to be a linebacker, is a depth guy at best. I would be extremely upset if they passed on Zach Thomas part 2 because of Akin Ayodele and Reggie Torbor.
Well, suppose they do. There's always Justin King (CB being a huge need) or Mario Manningham (hey, didn't we trade away our best WR last year?) but who's to say what will happen. Manningham's a better player than third round. We would be the All-Michigan team. Maybe we can take Michael Hart if he's available with the next pick.
I think Connor will be the pick. Having let go of Zach Thomas, you'd think this pick would be so obvious.
