Dan Connor is undoubtedly the best player available and has been for probably 30 or 40 picks. Why he has fallen this far is a mystery to me. Since we've let go our franchise middle linebacker, this is an obvious pick. (Or is it?) NFL draft decisions are not something I've ever understood. This seems to be pretty obvious. Connor is better than any linebacker on the team - including Crowder and Ayodele. Ayodele is a serviceable starter, but he's not any better (if at all) than Morlon Greenwood was. Reggie Torbor, if he is to be a linebacker, is a depth guy at best. I would be extremely upset if they passed on Zach Thomas part 2 because of Akin Ayodele and Reggie Torbor.

Well, suppose they do. There's always Justin King (CB being a huge need) or Mario Manningham (hey, didn't we trade away our best WR last year?) but who's to say what will happen. Manningham's a better player than third round. We would be the All-Michigan team. Maybe we can take Michael Hart if he's available with the next pick.

I think Connor will be the pick. Having let go of Zach Thomas, you'd think this pick would be so obvious.

i love dan conner.. looks identical to zach thomas.. but manningham is the best WR and we do need a WR

Dan Connor hurt his knee bad before the combine. That's why he left the combine early with a 'cold'. Im thinking thats why hes fallen. Reports were it wasnt that serious though. So i dont understand it myself.

i would love to get Connor or Manningham i think Manningham would probly be the smarter choise because we have two ILB that can start and we need a WR but i would go with his college team mate Adrian Arrington

the WR from Michigan is great but also comes with some baggage and maybe that's why he's still there.

Ozzy rules!!

I was really pissed off when the Dolphins picked Henne at #57 instead of Connor. I thought there was no way he'd not get picked up by someone else later in the second round but it turns out no did pick him up. Having said all this, I think for some odd reason that the Dolphins will pass on him again...which I do not believe to be the correct decision.

Out of those 2 I'd rather have Connor, but what do I know. and Ayodele is better than Morlon Greenwood.

Forget it... Connor isnt gonna be the pick. Its gonna be a CB or WR .

It's debatable, but they are very similar. Greenwood's seasons with Houston have undoubtedly been better than Ayodele's with Dallas. Ayodele hasn't really had a solid season since 2004. In any case, I wouldn't pass on Connor because of either.

I would have liked Connor at 32 to go along with our other two picks. However, I'm not complaining as I like the way we drafted today. Maybe we can work a trade for another 3rd and get both Connor & Manningham.

Plus add in we basically drafted a TE with half a 4th. Very pleased thus far.
