For someone that has been around the game for around 40yrs., there is no excuse that is acceptable. He and Chad lost the game for us. The clock management was atrocious. Why don't they fine him a portion of his salary like they do players.

DAVIE - Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Dan Henning has been in the coaching business a long time, so he knows when it's his time to fall on the sword.

That's why the grizzled coaching veteran, who has spent 30 years in the NFL as either a head coach, offensive coordinator or position coach, took responsibility for the team burning one of its precious timeouts on the final fourth-quarter drive of Monday night's 27-23 loss to the Colts.

Henning said he sent a specific play out on the field with a personnel grouping that couldn't execute the call properly.

That two minute drive was atrocious. He needs to be replaced at the end of the year. Also, the defense was the main reason we lost, not the O. But as bad as our D played, our O still had a chacne to win it. They just couldn't come through.

While the D is as much to blame as the offense, the playcalling and Chad's effort on the last drive went a long way to sealing the defeat.

Yeah ok he accepts it. So what does that mean...NOTHING. The F.O. should take his game check away....

Didnt sound like he was accepting blame to me, sounded more like he was justifying it.

Just because Penny had a shot at Ginn 42 yards downfield doesnt make him right.

If we would have managed the clock and the playcalling better we should have had at least a full set of downs inside the 20 yard line with a minute on the clock.

Sadly, we had to rush ourselves and take low probability shots at the endzone from mid-field. (well, closer to mid field than the endzone)

I really wonder how focused our defense was on Reggie Wayne. Reggie was pretty much shut down. Not sure how many times Sean was with him 1 on 1, but he clearly wasn't opened, though there were huge plays down the middle.

Ok, how is this. Our O didn't win the game, but our D lost it for us. That better?

It was man underneath with a Safety over the top (on Reggie) pretty much the entire night. They clear Reggie out on alot of plays taking two guys to the other side of the field leaving Dallas Clarke open on the cleared side with a linebacker on him one on one. It happend the first play of the game. And it was happening in the 4th quarter. Pretty ridiculous no changes were made.

I think we should be careful with what we ask for. Dan Henning was the man who presented the Wild Cat package to Sparano last season. He's the one that makes due with the lack of depth we have at the WR position. In essence, this man did a lot to help the Fins win 11 games last season.

Sure he messed up with the game management at the end, but he also was the catalyst for the 45 minutes of possession. The majority of the blame goes to the defense for not being able to stop Indy from scoring three TDs in under 15 minutes.

Everyone has their right to an opinion, but sometimes things need to be put into perspective before they are said.

I wondered why not adjustments were made as well. It seems to me that Indy anticipated this a had specific route to isolate Clark against a Safety or LB. He just ate our our D.

What drives me crazy is that the time management was absolutely BRILLIANT up until the last drive. He did EXACTLY what a team needs to do to beat Manning, he kept him off the field for the vast majority of the game.

Then, inexplicably, he ****s the bed with 3:18 minutes left. I still don't understand.

Equally responsible is everyone on the offense. I saw absolutely no hustle running the 2-minute offense drill...if that what it was.

why dont we just fire all coaches and start new!!! you guys need to get real did you gguys forget that these people are HUMANS and we humans make mistakes i know you get paid to play/call this game but yuo know what everyone has a room for error because of one game you cant be serious in saying we should fire our oc or dc or the whole team for that matter peoiple here need to get real and stop living in a freaking fantasay land.

I have thought over and over about his playcalling. He has made many bad decisions. It seems he kills drives with some of his calls. He was a large part of what we did last year, but even last year there were too many head scratchers.

I appreciate what he's done for us, but we need someone at the reigns who can get our O to live up to its potential. With RB, RW, and a mammoth OL, Iexpect Henning to utilize them the same way he did Monday. I hope he can keep it up all year, but something tells me he won't.

:ponder:Because of one drive?

Who said anything about firing them? We are absolutely justified in criticizing decisions and play, particularly one of the worst 2 minute drill...ever. This is a discussion board, not a lovefest.
