Yesterday, I met Dan Marino and had him sign a jersey for me at an autograph show at San Jose, California. They had Bob Griese and Don Shula as well. GT Sports Marketing is the company. I have to say that Dan Marino was really cool. He took his time and shook all the kids hands and took pictures. He was just like I imagined.

On the flip side, also got Dallas Cowboy QB Troy Aikman's autograph. He left a bad impression. He rushed through things. He barely looked up and I didn't see him shake too many hands. Maybe he was just in a bad mood at the time but based on my experience he didn't seem like the nice guy you see on tv.

Congrates on getting Marino's autograph! I've heard a lot of bad things about him, but it's nice to hear something good about my favorite QB. But please tell me you got The Don's autograph!!

I met Marino five times at his celebrity golf outting. And he was nothing but nice the entire time. Except when idiots where trying to get his Autograph while he was golfing. Dan even remembered me as the kid from Wisconsin. Awesome guy.

I have met him around 6 times at a show in New Jersey and recently last month --- he is a great guy always talks with his fans and shakes hands and takes pictures with you---i methim the yr the Giants beat the Pats and i had a " Perfectville Population 1" t- shirt on and he loved it and asked where he could get one --- i got a kick out of that---Dan Marino asking me a regular joe where he can get a shirt....

Good stuff...When I was younger my pops mailed a football to the Dolphins with a $50 attached to it and a note requesting Marino's autograph. He received it back about a month later and gave it to me for my 8th birthday. Still got it.

I also met him at a Sam's club in 2004. I forgot why he was there, but he was very cordial. I have a heard a lot of bad experiences people have had with him, but he's a solid guy in my book.

I met Dan when I was 12 years old at at Chili's in Tampa during the preseason. He signed my hat for me and was very nice.

My friend Bianca went to UCLA with Aikman and was in a couple of classes with him and she said he was a real arrogant a-hole. Sounds like nothing has changed.
