I took my son over to the NFL Experience. One of the booths was represented by Macfarlane - those lifelike collectable figures. I have a few around my office - reminds me of football when I need it in the long off-season. I picked up a Jason Taylor special edition to add ot my collection.

Talking to one of their reps - they just inked Dan Marino - acquired his rights to produce a Macfarlane figure. Look for it in the Legends series being released in August.

I'm sure others collect these and would like to see some better Dolphins represented than Ricky Williams and Junior Seau -

shoudl be a hot item.

yeah, i heard about this a while ago. i'm definitely going to be picking up one of these.

Awesome. I still have a Dan Marino & Bob Griese Starting Lineup Figure, the Macfarlane will go nicely.

I had wrote to them about doing a Csonka and Griese figure.
But they weren't in the works yet....
I am glad to hear that they are going to do a Marino .....
I have the starting line up Csonka , Griese, and a bunch of Marinos

They Need to Do More Dolphins....

how much does these Mcfarlane figures usually go for, and where do you get them?

hmm... maybe I just never noticed the name. I guess calling them Mcfarlane figures makes them sound priceless. Thanks Gary

very cool

don't invest too much money in Danny Marino..

his collectible stock has taken a beating in recent years. :boohoo:

Dan's records are being broken and the fact he never won a super bowl doesn't help.

DS
Dude.......I could care less about how much the figure is worth. This is Dan Marino!! Not everyone is looking to make a buck! I want it because it is a nice piece to add to my Dolphins archive.

What makes you say this? I have not seen the values of his collectables drop at all. The fact that he's on the CBS pre-game show, along with his HBO gig keeps him in peoples minds. He continues to be far more collectable than Elway and Montana, two icons of his era.

Woah woah woah woah woah there. I don't want to sell the thing, I want to buy it, and put it on my desk, because I think it'd be an awesome figure to grab. What makes you think we care about how much it would be worth in 15 years? We're Dolphins fans here.
