I would expect him to remain silent or say something like, “there’s something to build on” if he didn’t believe that Tua had the potential to be great. I’m pretty sure that’s been his M.O. He’s not really the phony cheerleader type.

I don't think that's the portrait they want to paint as an organization. They have a product to sell, and know the media can't be trusted with anything except unequivocal support.
