Yeah, I'm really hoping for this signing.

Seems like since we couldn't get LaVar Arrington, we are using that money to get some solid, yet unspectacular guys in here. (Keith Newman, Sedrick Hodge, Bennie Anderson...hopefully Big Daddy next.)

Is he even that good.

The way I see it we need him, Traylor is like 37. We need DT and Traylor to atleast equal one Solid Starter ahead of Wright.

Why the heck are people drooling over a 1st round bust and perenial underachiever? I don't think a career of being a complete dud is what we want in a vet, is it?

Can somone, anyone, quote me some stats that might turn my head?

I don't find anything about an underachiever compelling for this team.

Let him retire.

I think the deal will get done soon.

It will be awesome seeing Big Daddy and Truck stuffing the run up the middle.

First off, who's drooling?

Second, care to let us all know who else is out there to rotate with our 37-year-old nose tackle?
We need depth man. It's not like we can just go pluck Marcus Stroud from Jacksonville just because we want him.

Dan Wilkinson was pretty successful in Detroit. They cut him because they looked him in the eye and asked him if he still wants to play football and he said "I'm not sure if I want to play football anymore...in Detroit"

I definitely wouldn't call Dan Wilkinson a bust. Was he worth the first pick in the 1994 Draft? No. But he has become a good player even though he's over 30 years old.

I think you don't understand something. You're looking for "headturning stats" from a nose tackle. That just doesn't happen. You don't see guys like Vince Wilfork or Casey Hampton getting 13 sacks a year. They're space eaters that clog up the middle to free up the linebackers. Wilkinson is 6'4 and 350+ pounds and would be great in a rotation with Truck and Manny Wright. I say bring him on. Adding Dan Wilkinson as a Miami Dolphin would definitely strengthen our run defense.
