I can only hope for something even resembling a Patrick Surtain and younger Sam Madison we had in years past.

Or the big gains he lets up, lack of INTs, etc.

Anyone who wants to say "Well Madison had no INTS last year!" Madison wasn't constantly beat every play.

I dont get it though man. He was pretty solid in Carolina. :hmmm:

I don't get it either. He was a good corner at Carolina. He was one of their best. I thought Saban's new defense would benefit him. I guess I was wrong. :(
 
While I do agree about Howard, It was only the first pre-season game so we still have to give him at least till the regular season to prove himself. But he definetly isn't doing anything to make me feel any better about him though.

I can tell you though, other than TDaniels, those guys in the secondary have their heads spinning right now. Saban is maniacal with his coverage schemes. His buddy Belichick marveled at some of the things they were doing at LSU saying no team in the NFL did what he was doing in college!! Maybe once they all get comfortable, everyone and everything will fall into place :pray:.
 
I hope that he does well because if he doesn't, then we are in even deeper trouble at CB. I think that he will do well though.
 
It is really odd if you ask me that the two big FAs Rick brought in have looked so bad this preseason. James has an excuse of sorts, but Howard does not. If he doesn't take tonight as a wake up call and start playing up to his salary, it isn't going to look good for him.

I have to agree that Daniels is overhyped on this board. I hope he can live up to it, but I have to say that it worries me to think he will be starting.
