Daniels startting @ CB & Boston's knee

Referring to Boston, if you have shin splints those can be extremely painful.

They go away after a few days, though. Sometimes a week or two.

The previous reports say though that David Boston was running extremely well and had several good workouts...before the shin splints set in.

He's not 100% yet, but a lot of that limping could be shin splints. I've had them before, they suck.

does it piss anyone off about how much money we wasted on howard? i mean, when we got him, we were already stacked at corner and he hasnt done ****. he cant even start in front of a fourth round rookie. i'd throw my money away on feeley 100x before i throw it away on howard. when we got feeley, at least we needed him, and we still dont know how much he will do for us, but with howard, we know what we have: the highest paid nickle back in the NFL.

its kind of frustrating thinking about all the bonehead mistakes wanny/speilman made that we have to put up with today...esp for saban

Dude,

You're not allowed to ever criticize Reggie How-slow and small. Ever. People in here get very upset when you mention that he's a waste of space and cap room.

He was on a Super Bowl team, you know, and played out of position his first year with the Dolphins. Surtain played the slot on 3rd downs and How-bad played outside but his fans won't let the facts get in the way of their unconditional love.

The guy is no better than Fletcher was but at least he's better paid.

I think Daniels can be a MAJOR steal for us. Drew Rosenhaus was on Sports Extra and pretty much said the same thing pbExpress said...he's performing well and blanketing EVERYBODY, even Chambers. Let's hope he keeps it up when the pads come on.

Yea, I think he might be our Randall Gay.

The checking the knee each play sounds like he is making up his mind whether to trust it or not. Part of the rehab of a player is getting the confidence in a body part back. It failed him once, will it again? The shin splints (which are painful and annoying) don't help at either the physical or mental level.

We all need to be careful how much stock, bad or good, we put in a mini-camp evaluation. If this were two weeks into training camp, then I'd sweat, now I just make a mental note and keep an eye open!

Daniel is starting opposite to Sam in camp. He's been the most impressive rookie at camp. He has covered every WR on the team & done well. Expect him to open the season opposite to Sam Madison, if he keeps it up. He has the size to play the posiiton for sure.
It's not looking to good for Boston right now. You can clearly see that the guy has a limp and is favoring the knee every time he runsa route. He's not running with the same confidence. When running routes, he slows down after making the catch, and looks at the knee. Hopfully, he makes it through the knee problem. But realisticly, it's gonna take him another year to come back 100%.

Daniels is 6ft1. That's a plus and I watched him on some video. he lacks the speed but he has smart feet. In a CB that is a precious thing to have. Plus him knowing Saban's defense makes him a leader on the field. I think Travis Daniels may be the true sleeper in this draft. I can't wait to see him in action. of course he will make mistakes against veteran recievers...but I bet he makes an impression on the fans this year. He is of course no P-Surtain but Im liking him already

I think because Daniels comes here knowing the Saban system, he is one step up on the other DBs. After a few weeks of training camp we'll know for sure whether he is a savior or not

i also like daniels alot knowing the system is a bonus he and poole will be the new madison and surtain. as for boston he should be ready to go and will contribute this year

Oh well, we have exorcized the demons, they can do no more damage.

Wouldn't that be something of Daniels ends up starting? A lot of folks were poo-poo-ing this selection at the time. I admit, I eyed it like "there's a homer pick".

so, is Daniels a Rosenhaus client?

and Boston is most certainly not??

I can't believe they put that POS on television. I talked to him (Drew) and his
brother at the banquet. I washed my hands twice afterwards, and still felt dirty.

I guess everyone has there opinions, but I for one would rather have a solid corner who can make plays than a QB who can't. I would a 100x rather have Howard than AJ, who we could have had for less than we paid. Thankfully Saban brought in Gus to start, but it is sad we gave up a 2nd round pick for a career backup.

More like a "brother-in-law' pick...

I heard Boston ran well, but he limped when he was walking.
