Dolphins linebacker Karlos Dansby thought he was maintaining a proper diet as he prepared for the season on his own during the NFL lockout.
"I was eating salads and certain dressings," he told reporters after Sunday's victory over Washington. "I thought I was eating good."
But he wasn't. He said he reported to training camp at 270 pounds, 20 above his listed playing weight. Fifteen weeks since the start of camp, he's finally down to 246 pounds.
"I don't know what the hell kind of dressing he was using," coach Tony Sparano joked Monday.
