Dansby irked with Dolphins Front Office

How many instances of the phrase "Like I said" had to be edited out of those quotes to make them intelligible?

He is an idiot. If he would have made plays instead of making tackles, the majority of the time after the offensive player had made the play, he would still be in Miami.

Dansby disrespected the guys paying his contract, his teammates, and people who pay for tickets by showing up 60 pounds overweight two years in a row. He's a turd.

It is an end sum business if he hasn't learned that by now he is pretty naive.

I do agree that cutting him over the phone was pretty weak.

He needs to quit with the butt hurt. Contracts are not guaranteed in the NFL and what happened to him happens every season in the NFL. Now maybe he should have been cut in person but I don't have any knowledge of how players are usually cut in the NFL after the season is over.

But on the flip side you have to decide if it was a good idea to cut him in the first place because this year's LB group we have is trash.

This. He looked like he was going to drop dead during that shootout opening game against the Pats in 2011.

Well said. Total tackles is one of the more overrated and subjective stats. Dansby wasn't getting paid to be "efficient", he was getting paid to make impact plays. He didn't.

I don't feel sorry for him either. I expected K. Burnett wouldn't be brought back, but his release IMO was an unexpected move.

I didn't like the comment about "they" took money off his kids' table. He's still making MILLIONS for crying out loud, but I guess only millionaires can empathize.

Now his release being done by phone is classless, but I'll defer judgement because I don't know the whole story.

Like Jake, for us his performance didn't justify his compen$ation. I was sorry to see him go especially since last year now seems more like the anomaly than the rule and think we should have tried to renegotiate his contract somewhere between being grossly overpaid and the $2and change he's now getting based on fair market value. What bothers me most is that we apparently didn't give him that opportunity and even more so that Ireland didn't inform him personally. Having been in a business where interpersonal relationships have proven critical to the success of a company's employees, I'd say that's not only unforgivable but also a black mark when it comes to other players in house thinking "there but for the grace of god go I/or will go I" and prospective recruits thinking: "thanks but no thanks." This does distress me the way it was handled. Of course there are always 3 sides to every story and it's unlikely there's not more to this than meets the eye.

I don't like Ireland either but whatever Dansby. I'm glad he's not here anymore. I didn't like his play on the field and I hated hearing his interviews. He sounds like a moron. Him feeling the need to repeat himself at the end of every sentence was very annoying to me.

ooo booho, its a business. if I wasn't performing up to my salary I get fired too.

When you openly question your leaderships decisions through the media several times, WTF do you expect to happen? I liked Dansby, but his mouth and airing of dirty laundry got his butt canx'd!
