UConn CB Darius Butler ran a 4.38 forty-yard dash at the Huskies' Pro Day.

Butler was dissatisfied with his 4.45 Combine time and wanted to prove he's a sub-4.4 corner. NFL Network's Mike Mayock says Butler also looked "fluid and quick" in position drills. Butler is a late first-round possibility.

I would love Butler if Matthews is not there or if he can slide to pick 2a.

I'm impressed, I definitely wouldn't mind picking him up with #25.

I am liking both L.English and D.Butler in this draft for the 1st rd. Most likely candidates available.

But, what combination would you rather see.

1st Rd. L.English
2a pick. S.Smith

or

1st Rd. D.Butler
2a pick C. Sintim or Paul Kruger

This is what I am debating!

Clay Matthews is my guy in the first round, but some are saying he might not make it there. I would go with Butler or Sintim

I like Matthews also but his stock is through the roof. Also, no way he gets past NE

I'd go with the second 2nd selection as well. I really like Sintim and if we can get him in the 2nd rd. that would be great value. I feel he has 1st rd talent but his "want to" has been questioned.

IMO, it should be Butler in the first. Corner is probally our biggest need, and Butler is going to be a great player. He would be great value in the 1st, and if he goes, there may be a rush on corners, so there would be no promise that we could get a quality corner.

Linebackers should be able to be found into the third round, so I dont really feel thats a big need early on.

I think Butler should be our number one, followed by a receiver (Robiskie maybe? Im a huge OSU fan, so this would be awesome for me). After that, a linebacker to develop behind Porter would be nice.

I am kinda leaning with my first choice.

The reason being L.English talent is not there in round two.
The true value for CB's is early 2nd-mid 2nd where I know the combination of:

1. S.Smith
2. D.J. Moore
3. Alphonso Smith
4. Jarius Byrd

One of them will be there at 2A pick.

any chance we go Butler and then sean smith.... gives us a nice corner combo or move smith to saftey

NFL | Butler does limited work at Pro Day

NFL.com reports University of Connecticut CB Darius Butler ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds at his Pro Day, according to NFL Network's Mike Mayock. He also looked fluid and quick in change of direction drills.

Nate out safety position is taken care of. I stand by OLB and CB. I hope Matthews is there at 25.

I want Butler and Barwin. I am conflicted on who we should get first. Butler is in a class by himself w/ corners IMO and therefore we should get him! problem is that his stock is rising....NFLN said he could be the first CB gone. doh!

lets face it this team is solid but it has needs all over the place that cant be filled in one year. So if BPA is Butler in round 1 and then Smith in round 2, then i think we would grab both. I no our saftey's are set but it never hurts to add depth with a potential star and bell does have a history with injuries. If they play him at corner gives us 2 good young corners with size to go up against the WR in our division.

There is a slim chance Barwin is available with 2ndA pick. There is No chance Bulter is available in the 2nd round. I believe the Pats are targeting both of these guys. Butler in the 1st and Barwin at the very top of the 2nd. The Pats have the 2nd pick in round 2.
