How about this darkhorse candidate...especially if he gets Piolis endorsment OR we get Pioli............Josh McDaniels OC and QB coach at New England...very young and has been viewed as a future HC...why not now.....reminds me of Mangini...probably the youth...New England is always well prepared on offense (except when they play the Fins!!!:) He has done alot with a star QB and average other offensive talent....

Louisvilles head coach Bobby Petrino would be nice

He also fortunatly or unfortunatly coached under Nick Saban at MSU. He is 2-3 years away from being a VERY hot commodity IMHO....

He's only been a coach for like 6 years, and only a real position coach/coordinator for like 3, and I don't even think he's 30 yet. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for youth and fresh blood, but I want just a tad more seasoning. Brian Schottenheimer.

I like the idea of Brian Schottenheimer. Just dont know how some of the players will react to a guy thats only a couple years older (maybe even younger in our defense's case) than a lot of the guys on the team.

He definately seems to have led an overachieving squad this year though..

I don't think Pioli is leaving NE. Give Josh McDaniel more time. And please no college coach.

Caps:
What's up with your sig? CC, he turned a bad Indiana football team into being competitive. He's never been a HC in the NFL, and has excelled as an OC. Your sig insinuates that he was previouly an NFL HC, and is a little misleading... you should add "in college" at the end or in parenthesis... :)
(I was 99% sure he hadn't been a HC, but that 1% questioning in my mind forced me to check his resume...)

Those are correct facts and he just turned 30, but he will be a star and may be ready..I am not saying get him at all costs, but he is definetly someone to look at closely...here is a link.

Why are you quoting Cam's college w-l record. Let's take a look at his pro background. I am sick of the College crap!!! Get an NFL coach, one that wants to be in the NFL!!! Cam is going to be a great NFL head coach!!!

NO More College coaches please! Need somebody with NFL skills and talent to fix this team.. We are more than a few players away, we are a laughing stock in the AFC East!

No. And I never could understand the fascination with a former Indiana Coach with a losing record.
We can't afford to take that gamble. I say let's wait.

Because it's relevant. If the guy couldn't cut it in college, who says he can cut it at the more competitive professional level? You all can make excuses about it if you'd like, but the fact is he failed horribly as a HC, and we all deserve to know that. Whether or not that changes your mind about anything is your own choice to make, the only thing I am doing is presenting a fact about a prospective coach.
