Darlington: Sunday Morning Blog Update

interesting news. Seems like he didnt do too bad at WR either. I could see him getting signed as a utility guy, Helping on special teams and wr.

So in his words Vick did do some good things and ran routes as well as the receivers. So Why not take a chance and see what develops.

I imagine that Vick would have to prove he has enough talent and promise to overcome the negative merits on his record. Basically, it sounds from every outlet, like he simply hasn't done enough. They all seem to agree he has talent, but is very raw and doesn't have so much more talent and promise than some of the other players already signed w/o all the negatives.

thanks for the info.man i hope vick makes the team but im thinking he wont now

Keep Vick around, man. Sign the guy and develop him as a WR, yet start him off as a KR/PR.

Enough with these slow *** returners who can't break one to save America....

(and yes, I know Welker broke one against Baltimore a year ago, but he was almost chased down by a damn linebacker who couldn't even chase down Sammy Morris on one play)

Thanks for the info, any news this time of year is great.

Why are ppl bothered about Vick especially when weve got Chambers, Booker, Welker, Hagan and Aromatherapy.
Im more interested in the fact Justin Holland has an arm and has shown he may be a serious threat regarding getting on the squad. He may challenge Lemon for the 3rd QB position assuming Harrington comes to us.

I agree. I think we are set at WR and that is the approach that we end up going with. Two of the five WR's are going to be special teamers so I think Vick is a long shot. Holland kind of covers the other side of the equasion.

Instead of three straight days of Vick sightings, how about more info on the secondary, the LB's the OL. I understand ESPN and the national media being infatuated with Vick, but the local media too. DISSAPOINTING!

i would like to see vick make the team and be developed into a wr possibly even though i would rather him stay at qb which i think he has proven he can be effective at...im not sure how happy vick would be about moving to a wr since mike never really was into converting into another position it would be interesting to see marcus's reaction to changing into a wr

Vick really isn't worth the trouble. Is he really THAT good of an athlete? Are his hands good enough to even be a kick/punt returner? We have really fast guys on the team as it is, why do we need another guy who's just average at qb and average at wide receiver? Oh yeah, its because his last name is VICK!
