first game back, lil rusty, 2 bad throws, everyone hates him...well not the true fans, he did show he can still move tho, had a 50 yard play because of his scrambling. but if u guys think he should be benched, they might as well bench favre, plummer, delhomme, bledsoe, and sims, i think daunte played better then all of them. just wait till he gets comfortable back there, its a long season, and we are just getting started, no need to panic or bring up joey harringtons name...your kidding right? daunte culpepper starting qb for the miami dolphins, and it stays that way.

I agree, he didnt play poorly untill the last 6 or 7 minutes of the game, we completely abandoned the run, and there was no pass blocking

C-Pep is going to light it up this week

There was a free blitzer on every play though, and he made the right decisions all game untill the end

Everyone who says there was good pass blocking is lying to themself

i'm not worried about pep at all......... I'm actually still very excited we have this guy chuckin the rock. He looked pretty damn good, all things considered ( i think your supposed to consider everything ) Sure this is Daunte Culpepper, but he's not superman..... the fact that he even played is mind-boggling, then take into account it was his first full game in almost a year and it was on a totally new team, against the SB champs. Nobody's worried IMO.... people just come here to act that way for some very strange reason.:refuse:

- new team-mates

- no running game

- playing the champs

- playing with knee at 80%

I don't think we'll see the real Pep until '07

YES! Look at what our QB's have done in the past when staring at a free blitzer coming through the line.

the pass blocking was decent

the horrible run blocking hurt Pep more, you can't open up the passing game without a running game

case in point: the Miller TD doesn't happen if Zach and Hill aren't selling out to try to stop Parker

The pass blocking was terrible, there were a few times they did decent overall I give it a D+ or a C-, we couldnt even take any shots down the field because a linebacker came through clean almost every play

The run blocking was even worse, that gets a D- or F

Next week we should be better though

What I don't understand is how come our linebackers can't learn from watching film how other teams' LB's are able to go by free ? Or is it because other teams are blitzing against our O-line making it look easy ?

That gets at me to

Ive been saying since preseason week 2 that our Blitz packages looked terrible, we get more pressure with just 4 down lineman. When you blitz and dont get pressure that just puts an already questionable secondary into a terrible spot to be in because if you give a QB enough time he will find someone

Point blank if we send 6 guys 5 lineman shouldnt be able to block them.....but somehow they always do

I agree completely.. we had no running game, so they knew he was passing, yet he still posted 250+ yards.

on one sack Shelton blocked down the line leaving Porter one on one with our FB

I think Shelton pulled that **** twice

Houck will straighten these guys out

I don't think we disguise our blitzes worth a damn and Zach one-on-one with a running back aint exactly a terror

we don't have the personnel for the scheme yet, we should draft all defense next year
