if he gets hurt, he gets hurts and probably wasn't ready for the season in the first place. The offense is going to need alot of live action 1. to face the pittsburg defense 2. because Daunte is throwing to new receivers and 3. he hasn't played in live action football in over 9 months.

You don't want to go into pittsburg unprepared.

I think they will wait ubtil week 3 to play him a full quarter. I think this next weekend will be pretty much the same as what we saw yesterday.

Why, because you said so? That's what the third game is for.

Yea I think he will get a quarter also next game. But I don't think the reason why he didn't get the plays last night is fully attributed to his injury . . I mean of course its a concern, but if it was a major concern he wouldn't even take a snap . . fact is he is cleared and healthy and looks fantastic. Trust me if there were any doubts that he wasn't ready he wouldn't see the field.

I think Coach Saban knows what's best for Daunte's situation

i think you know what i know, and thats that, we know nothing, compared to the coach.

daunte did look money in that uni though!!!

GO #8!!!

Next week I anticipate about two series. You never know how the game will play out but I'd say a max of 15 plays. He'll play about a quarter against Carolina. IMO Carolina will be better than Pitt this year and that D-line is impressive.

If he is treated like other players he will play a quarter to a quarter and a half next week...then 3 quarters against the Panthers.....then they rest the guys the 4th game....I guess that Panthers game becomes real important now

If he "wasn't ready for the season in the first place" WHY WOULD WE PLAY HIM AT ALL? That's terrible logic.
The facts are that predicting whether a player is ready or not is not an exact science.

Yes, its a message board anything anyone says is their opinion. Most starters play about a quarter in the 2nd game of the preseason. It's time to take the kid gloves off and start running a full offense with the starters to be ready for pittsburg if Daunte has been cleared to play.

daunte will probably play half the 1st qtr in the next game. I see no reason for him to play anymore than that.
