I say let's resign him! He got a raw deal here before and was mishandled by a bad coaching staff.

DC = deep run in the playoffs...and he is the man that can get the ball to Ginn downfield and open up the running game even more by running the wildcat.

His main problem is that he has trouble reading coverages/defenses....

I would love his arm in Pennington's brain...

As much as i supported him while he was here I dont want Daunte. We have a good veteran in pennington and a qb of the future in Henne along with a guy that keeps the bench real warm for the starters in Beck. i do believe Daunte will be finding work soon though.

Youre joking right?

He wants to come out of retirement but he doesnt want to play for anyone... Recently the Cheifs inquired about him as early as a few weeks ago and he said no... At this point during his career, he shouldnt be picky regarding who he wants to play for.. He should take any chance he can get.

He's going to KC.

We have to start fresh.......no Daunte, no Trent Green, no more anything after Penny except Henne.

I disagree with you.

I think his main problem was he rushed back from that knee injury. You have to wonder how things would have went if he would have took his time coming back from that. Or if you guys would of signed Brees.

He doesn't want to go to KC because they suck. Daunte wants to play for a superbowl contender that is why we need to sign him.

Noodle arm chad ain't the answer and he's not going to last 16 games here. By signing Daunte we would immediately have the best QB in the division and would guarantee ourselves 11 wins.

Oh yea? What was his excuse in Oakland? He just plain sucks.

Youre serious? :sidelol:

Like I said, at this point in his career, he shouldnt be picky as to where he plays, he should take what he can get because let face it, a true supebowl contender WILL NOT sign him.

Anyways, he isnt coming here, there is no shot in hell that we sign him..This is as clear as the Hudson river is brown. Next topic

He played in Oakland the following year and was healthy. He stunk. Many consider his best game in Oakland was against the Dolphins. The funny thing is he threw for less than 100 yards, had no td passes, and 2 ints in that game. Still he ran it in for 3tds against a dreadful run defense and won the game. Not too impressive by my standards.
In the past two season, he played in 11 games and had 12 fumbles, had 8 td passes and 9 ints. Lets not forget his last season in Minny as well: (72 QB rating, 6tds, 12ints). Daunte's problems have much more to do with his decision making and accuracy than his knee injury.

I can't knock optimism. Pennington isn't the answer. He's a stopgap. To think Culpepper would be anymore is foolish. If Culpepper wanted to play for a SB contender he'd be the 3rd Qb on the depth chart. Hypothetically if he came back and Parcells was dumb enough to sign him, he'd still be the 3rd best Qb in the division at best.
