Dave Hyde: Dolphins should fire Ireland and Philbin

Philbin doesn't need to lose his job, but these sensationalist local beat writers should

Didn't have to read the article to agree with the idea...CLEAN HOUSE!

from the article...

Incognito, in his own way, is as much a victim in this story as Martin. Putting him in charge of any player, much less this entire locker room, was like putting an alcoholic at the bar.

There is no way the FO and coaching staff stick around after the year. Not saying it is fair, but it has become so toxic that Ross is going to have to clean house.

Ireland should be canned. His handling of the Oline in the offseason was irresponsible. Despite having plenty of money to work with, some red flags and the fact that Martin just isn't very good he stick with Martin at LT. By bye Jwff!

That does not make any sense, after the season is over the story goes away and everyone moves on.

I think there needs to be only one fall guy (Philbin or Ireland), and who it is depends on Ross's view of who was responsible for Incognito's role in relation to Martin.

The embarrassment will follow them into the offseason. When people think about the Miami Dolphins they will think of all this garbage.

Many agree with the firing if Ireland and it is his drafting track record that's more of an issue then this latest problem. Unfortunately Philbin will be cast out as well....if you want to attract a top GM you have to allow them to pick the head coach they want to work with.

I agree, how can you play hardball with Jake and the Chiefs when you knew Martin was a wimp....so much of a wimp you ask Richie to toughen him up......we may have a franchise QB and you go into the season with a mentally challenged LT who really didn't play all that well at RT as a rookie........

Ireland goes and if Philbin gets the team in the playoffs then I would let the new GM decide his fate, if we don't make the playoffs they both go the Monday after the last game of the season.

I'm willing to see what Joe Philbin can do out of this mess, but if we have to lose Joe to lose Jeff... sorry Joe.

As do I, I don't dislike Philbin and feel like he has been playing with a handicap (Ireland) from the start. I could see a situation where the Phins rally around this situation and Philbin and make the play-offs unfortunately if that happens old Jeffy-Jeff Ireland will be here for another off-season.
