why would we sign him? maybe for kickoffs i guess since feeley didnt do that good
 
I think for kickoffs, yes.
But probably for competition for Feely too. Though it will be hard for him to better Feely's FG numbers last season.
 
Feeley is a mouthpiece and expendable. In Parcells' world, kickers like Feeley are more trouble than they're worth. Bank on it.
 
Wasn't Feeley a team captain and player rep last year?

But, then again, there aren't many players from last year still on the roster.

It should be interesting to see what happens when they battle it out in camp.
 
Parcells was burned by Vanderjagt, and Feeley talks int he media too much. Rayner isn't bad on FG at all, and what we gain in kickoffs more than makes up for what little we lose in accuracy, and especially Feeley's tendency to blab to the media.

Parcells has made an effort to rid this team of Cameron people. Feeley is no different.

Rayner isn't bad on FGs? Olindo was run out of town because his low FG conversion rate and Rayner is worse than Mare at it.
 
Hauffman saw something in him he thinks he can fix, obviously. This is a good move for several reasons, especially if he beats Feeley out.
 
If you want strong kickoffs sign Olindo Mare. In fact get rid of Feely (SCAM PICKUP) and resign Mare. Just dont give him No.10 that number is reserved for You Know Who!
 
Got this line from CBS Sportsline. Doesn't sound promising.

Unless he signs on with another club and wins the starting PK job, Rayner can be forgotten about.

Buddy..he is the most accurate kicker in clubs history (for a single season at least)
Now..i want Mare back..but by no means Feely is a scrub.

While I understand you want to be right, I don't see Feely having been cut - quite possibly because he converted an incredible amount of FGs. This isn't so much a competition as its a increase yardage on kickoffs move.
 
I like feeley kicking FG's but he sucks at kickoffs. However i think it would be stupid to keep a kicker just for kickoffs and it would be a wasted roster spot. Brandon Fields did kickoffs in college and has a strong leg, i'd rather try him there. But none the less you need 2 kickers in training camp so this signing to me is just camp depth.

No way!!! Olindo can kickoff, but he can't make a field-goal to save his life. He is way to inconsistant.
