Does anyone feel like myself that he won't be much of a factor. Because all I keep hearing is that he is struggling.

I don't know. I have been hearing mixed reports on Boston. Some say he is doing well, others say he is struggling. Worst case scenario, he will be a dominate #4.

I wouldn't expect him to be in football shape (he's probably in good shape, but his conditioning is probably pretty poor). He did have a pretty serious knee surgury last year (which could have been avoided if Wanny would've listened to Boston).

I am not familiar with this can you expound por favor ?

Well, I guess the blame also goes to the training staff. The week we scrimmaged the Texans, Boston was complaining about pains in his knee. I don't remember if he was told to keep playing or the training staff said it was nothing serious, but shortly after Boston had to jump in the air to catch a pass, and when he came down he had a torn ACL. All this(along with some other things) lead to Boston filing a lawsuit against our medical staff.

I think it was a scrimmage against the Texans, Boston said he was feeling some pain or something along those lines and wanted to sit out and Wanny wouldn't let him and than shortly after was when Boston suffered the knee injury that resulted in missing the entire 2004 season.

This may sound dumb but i think we should try to trade him to philly for something like a conditional third or something. Not saying Philly would bite but with the uncertain reports I've been hearing it doesn't seem like he has a future in Miami so why not try to get value from him and giveThompson a chance.

Cause Thompson has had chances and proved to be nothing but a hot/cold 3rd or 4th WR. I personally dont like Thompson i think he gets really hot (like the patriots game) and then really cold (the rest of last season and the season before). I would prefer Boston than Thompson

Just my opinion

I agree. Boston is worth the wait. He has a huge upside once he is healthy. Thompson hasent done anything to this point in his carrer near Boston's numbers.

He's just flat out a 'show me' player to me. And hey, i think he has the power to show me something really good. but if he doesn't, its not like we're counting on him.

He'll be a role player. I'm not sure if that means 150 yards or 600, though. I'm not turning my nose up at him or his production, but he isn't in a position to be talked about the way he has been (as superior to Booker and/or Chambers).

When all is said and done, if Boston is only 85 percent of what he has been, teams still have to be afraid of us on passsing downs.

Teams may or may not be afraid of us with Chambers, Booker, and McMichael (without Boston), but they'll get burned often enough. If Boston can contribute as a role player in those situations, it's all the better.

Jimmy, I guess it`s safe to assume you don`t think much of Boston? I`m not knocking you or anything, but it just seems you don`t think he won`t/can`t be a premier player on this `05 team. I think we`d be fine without him, but I think the guy CAN be a HUGE asset to this team, with as much upside as CC if he`s at 90 to 100%

This is still early folks, form what I've read, Boston was struggling some in the first couple of days in training camp, but he was taken out of practive at times too, because he still had some healing, and probably wanted to take it a little easy on his knee. The past couple of days Boston has progressed from what I've read, and he seems to be doing better each day as his health improves. It's still early, He says he's 100%, I'm not exactly sure about that, but I think he is on his way to being 100%, it's just a matter of time before he starts playing like Boston again. He'll be our no.3 receiver for the regular season, he might be picked as it by the second preseason game. I think Boston could really boost this offense, but we don't really lose anything if anything happens or he doesn't. I just think it's way too early, to think that Boston won't do well, etc.
