What is up with David Boston? After preseason it looked like he was going to resume his career after the injuries. I can only think of 2 times he has been thrown to. Both times the throw was off. Is he in the dog house or just not being utilized in the ofense?

There is obviously something happening. What it is I don't know. I do know I saw more Gilmore/Welker out there than Boston.

Not getting many oppurtunities...and not making the most of it when he does...

He had one long pass thrown to him. It was defended well (I thought there was illegal contact, but the refs favored the kitty kats all day). He did have 2 steps on the dback.

He's a solid/cheap #3 or #4 guy.

I think he has been thrown to a total of 8 times. He dropped one easy one. Two have been inompletions deep down the field, one he got called out because on the underthrow he didn't even make an attempt to catch it or at least prevent the covering defenders from catching it. He caught 3 of them for I think 21 yards, but he fumbled on one catch (it may have ended up being called incomplete, for his 2nd dropped ball total).

All in all, he has not given impressive effort. I called him out about it on the board all last week saying Wes Welker and Bryan Gilmore should pass him on the depth chart. I even went as far as saying we should cut him in favor of the Jags' practice squad receiver Chad Owens. I was heavily criticized on the boards, yet vindicated by the coaching staff who had Welker and Gilmore in the offense a lot more than Boston against the Panthers.

It seems to me that with the short passing game linehan has been using that boston would be a beast to bring down on some of those slants gus throws. I just cann't remember boston being a decent amount of time to prove himself. I mean against the jets booker and chambers didn't play that well and they didn't get reduced roles. Maybe it is me but boston on a quick slant looks like yards after catch to me.

I totally DISAGREE! He does not have a drop. His timing is not very good with Frerotte. Gus has had him wide open at least 3 times and missed him. He will contribute and is trying to come back slowly so he doesnt get injured before he hits his health peak.

That must be painful for you to admit.

Why?? My team is 2-1 and looking good..none of the recievers have been impressive other than Chamber's. Booker has disappeared after game 1..Welker makes the most of his small role, Gilmore is rarely used..

I never said Boston should start or be our #1..some people here have, and because he's on my avatar you assume its me??

He still has talent if you ask me and Im sure he'll get more touches but really who cares?? We challenged Chambers to step it up and he did..Right now we have no consistent solid play at that position. We will get better..Chambers broke out and Marty and David will too.

And if Boston catches 15 balls for 110 yards no TD's on the season, O'well Im a Dolphins fan first a David Boston fan second.

cut for a practice squad player, c'mon. The guy is enormous and pretty fast, and only a couple years removed from the pro bowl. A practice squad castoff!

I would like to see Boston in the slot some. short passes and give him a chance to run after catch. we should also try some more verticals with boston, booker, and chambers all at once.

I like what i've seen from Gilmore - did you see how he stayed on his feet after being popped during the Carolina game?

He was criticized because of his "Chad Owens" suggestion...that still remains a bad idea in virtually everyones eyes..

Welker HAS been in the game more than Boston because he is our slot guy..Gilmore was not in anymore than Boston.
