David Bowens great DEPTH

Excuse me if this was posted already. I LOVE that we inked Bowens to at least one more season at the bargain basement price of 900k!

Ogun wanted this HUGE contract to play here and to be honest, I never felt him better than Bowens. Bowens had 52 tackles and 7 sacks on a team with both of their starting DT'S out for the season.

I don't care what anyone says, if you look at it close that OGUN deal worked out great for us. We got Marty Booker who is a GAMER, no argument there. And Lamar Gordon who can play when healthy, who might open the 2005 season.

The Ogun deal worked in our favor. And I have said this time and time again, Vonnie Holliday will be a major contributor if given the chance.

Bowens, Holliday, Carter, Taylor, Roth... I LIKE IT!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Didn't we save some cap room with this deal?

Yes we did. I should have posted that we saved roughly 2 million dollars this season in cap space.

My Bad..

Great move for us

I am very pleased with this signing:lol: This is just a start, can we use that money for rookies ?

It saves us a little over 1.1 million dollars. I dont know if we can use that for Rookie, but I would like to see Schulters sign

No. The rookie pool is alotted by the NFL and teams must sign their draft class within those numbers. Also, I thought we were paying Bowens 1.9 mil this year. Where does the 900k figure come from? Does anyone else think that Bowens is not worth 1.9 mil a year?

Time will tell regarding the Ogun trade. We should give credit to RS for that one. Since he has taken a disproportinate amount of blame for everything else that has gone wrong.

The question was whether he was worth a high cap number not if he is a good player.
The 900 k figure is just about right.
