I really liked Bowens and was unhappy the Phins let him get away, this is their chance to get back a solid contributor.

Dont forget he has a naggin knee injury, but i do agreem, he is a good player that we are going to miss, this was a total money clearing release, maybe for Scott, or Ray, who knows!
 
He had an unusually high cap number for the production he was giving. IIRC it was something above $2.5 or $3M for 2009; just a cap casualty (i.e. the result of last year's spending spree - and probably more reasoning behind our front office not going after ridiculous targets that've been franchised).
 
bowens is olD! but if he comes back the stupid rookie card i have from him might be worth something.. maybe ill have to find it any buyers?
