If you read between the lines I would believe that Farmar was disgusted with the Dolphin organization, and didn't want to work with Joe Philbin. The Dolphins essentially released an individual who they knew had serious mental health questions to the city of Cleveland without full disclosure. What if Bess hurt himself or someone else in one of his schizo rants?

If you were Ray Farmar could you work in conjunction with a guy like Philbin who obviously knew about Bess and made zero effort to help his player?

Talk about assumptions

How do you know Philbin made zero effort to help Bess? The guy that traded him to Cleveland without full disclosure was fired which is why Farmer has a shot at being a GM.

I think its reasonable to assume that the presence of Philbin makes the GM job of the Dolphins considerably less attractive.

It was reported just the other day that he got along very well with philbin when they met.

Blind assumptions help nobody

GMs and HCs work hand in hand. You really believe Ireland didn't consult Philbin before jettisoning a productive player like Bess?

Steve Ross is sorry Roy Farmer didn't want a second interview. Mr. Ross wishes Roy Farmer the best in his future endeavors. Mr. Ross thinks Roy will make a fine GM some day.

The Phins were going to release Bess and they did him a favor by allowing his agent to work out a trade.

The Phins cannot divulge any players personal health issues. And no team is going to do their trade partners leg work.

If you want to blame someone blame Bess's agent.

Yes, because being a scouting director in Cleveland is much better than a GM in Miami. Think outside the box!

Yet josh Gordan with all his issues is the face of the franchise.

Or Farmer for not doing the leg work?

Maybe he did, but who knows what Philbin said? Philbin supposedly wanted to trade for Albert and Ireland thought Martin would be fine at LT. According to reports, Ireland and Philbin did not work hand in hand.

Regardless, how do you go from that to blaming Philbin for not helping Bess and not giving full disclosure to Cleveland?

Not sure that persons mental health, or any health issues for that matter, can be brought up to a potential employer by a previous employer if asked without risk of incurring a major lawsuit by the individual. Most large corporations will now only confirm employment dates and say nothing further.

Perform due diligence and Caveat Emptor...
