i don't agree with the miami had all the leverage talk...with a lot of nfl teams fan bases they could have gotten away with hard ball for a long time...with us though given our qb situation and the dire need and the way the offseason search at the position went i think ross would have eventually told aponte to get it done...
I don't like if's and I don't like looking back. I only care about the now and the where we're going. we could if ourselves to death, if only we'd drafted drew brees...
Philbin did ask her if she had told Tannehill that and she said yes and that he was prepared to do that.Aponte is our capologist ( a VG one), as well as a VP in administration. From what I recall, she told Philbin that she expressed where both sides stood and, based on that, RT would not be a Dolphin and have to go back to the draft. To me, that was just stating the obvious, and was the team's stance, not her's. I have to replay it.
Maybe so but my point is Tannehill had much much more to lose than Miami. Miami has been without a QB for over a decade wtf is one more year at this point? Tannehill would have given up a year of is career and millions of dollars by sitting out the season.
we gonna have to agree to disagree on this the individual player had more to lose than the owner in miami if tanny had sat out the year and gone back into the draft
