Day 2 Thoughts....

confused about all the wr's... not sure what will happen with pat white and chad henne.. guess well know during the season
 
Every team, even the Patriots, misses on a couple of picks each year. Let's not forget this same front office found Donald Thomas in the 6th round, as well as Davone Bess and Dan Carpenter who weren't even drafted.

So I've noticed a lot of pessimism from you as of late, despite the fact that you were one of the biggest optimists on the board back when we were god-awful. Thoughts?
 
Honestly I don't follow the NFL draft all that closely so I cant say we should have taken player X over player Y but I was surprised that we took two receivers. I guess it could indicate that they're not as high on London as we thought.

If nothing else, it should make for a very spirited camp and preseason. Outside of Ginn and possibly Camarrillo, no receiver should feel safe.
 
Meh. I hope we actually draft some interior and LB's now, but there isn't exactly 1st round talent out here anymore.

Well although I wouldn't consider myself one of the biggest optimists around here over the last 3-4 years, I've made my attempt's to get drunk on the Kool-aid from time to time. I'm not an eternal pessimist, I just have a different way of expressing concern. It's alright to be concerned, and express concern isn't it??....

Unfortunately Donald Thomas hasn't proved hes any good at all here. I know its cause of an injury, but still, he hasn't done anything.
 
I liked the Patrick Turner pick. Maybe a little bit of a reach on him, but with the run on receivers we saw in round 3, it was probably worth taking him at that spot. We needed a tall possession type receiver to compliment players like Ginn and Bess. Wilford turned out not to be that player, so why not take a chance on a guy like Turner in round 3?

On the other hand, the Hartline pick I don't get at all.

We still have five more picks in the draft, lets see what they can come up with.

not true at all. He was our starting RG before he got hurt. Kris Jenkins (DT, Jets) said hes never faced someone so good in a long time. Thomas is going to be good.
