Unless you plan to pay Jason Allen a good sum of money for his number, you better look at something else

We'll be fine. Will Allen and Goodman have looked very solid in camp and the preseason. They can be solid starters in our defense. And we're deep at safety, even if Jason Allen isnt quite ready to contribute. Unless Pittsburgh lines up in the run and shoot to expose our 4th and 5th corners, we should be ok.

you should know the players that we have

we might be in trouble, we didnt look that good pass defending, this preseason

I'm not as worried as many seem. We had one bad game against the pass this preseason. This preseason, the Fins were ranked 6th in Passing yards allowed while giving up 5 passing TD's and collecting 4 INT's. We aren't as bad as some people make it seem. Also, with Travis Daniels set to return, we only get better.

Starters did.

Yeah I don't understand all the hate because the starters did play pretty well.

As for the plan of attack, there are 2 differnt scenarios.

Scenario 1: Travis Daniels plays

If this happens, he will not start. Andre Goodman has played pretty well in the preseason and he is going to be the second starter regardless of what happens with TD. Daniels does a very good job of running the cover two underneath out of the nickle. He also matches up well in the slot.

Scenario 2: Travis Daniels does not play

In this case, I think we see Jason Allen move into a nickle role. I don't think he will start at safety regardless of what happens with TD so this is where his versatility is an advantage. It's either Allen or Mitchell/Lehan in that nickle spot so I will take Jason.
