For all the DC fans that want Dante in Miami.... I hope you guys know that if we sign DC he won't play until 2007:shakeno: . His knee is f...d up. This means Gus will start again next year and keep the spot warm for Dante. Just don't see that happening! At least Brees should be able to play this year. No way Miami signs DC without checking him out first and only if he can go this year. Which means that we might need to wait until Minni drops him before his bonus is due. If we don't land Bress next years QB will just be another temp don't lose the game for us Fiedler Type. :boohoo:

Actually, you have no idea when Culpeppers or Brees will be able to return. I've heard anywhere from a return during Training Camp to a 2007 Return for BOTH players.

Personally, I'm a little more concerned about an injury to a throwing arm then I am a knee for a quarterback. If Culpepper cant scramble, we'll live. If Brees can thrown, he's not going to be worth a damn.
 
Yes agreed but at least our Doctors are able to look at Brees up and down, DC is a shot in the Dark

Well I have heard ESPN report that his docs have said half way though next year. I have heard them say its a 12 month injury. I have also heard them say September at the earliest. Either way, DC does equal Gus for 06. And we arn't good enough to be paying a high cap # for a player on the bench.

Last I checked it was Brees who has the ARM/shoulder injury....not Pep.
