You have 4 games to prove you dont suck, if you suck in those 4 games you are officially a BUST by the standards set forth on this board.

To the 2009 future QB we will draft after we declare Henne a bust, you will be given 3 games to prove you are Hall of Fame material.

lol damn dude, as a michigan fan i love the henne pick but i look at it like this we had to take him for two reasons
1. if beck sucks this year there is zero qb's in next years draft.
2. Beck is 27 henne is 22 beck could end up like wienke and never get better cause he may have peaked

Now i dont think that beck sucks(yet) but he has a fumbling problem. holds the ball to long at times. and looked like a deer in the headlights last year. with that said cam said he wasnt ready but was pressured into playing him so i for one say he gets till at least week 10 for me and if he hasnt improved drastically then it would be time to bench him finish with mccown and start henne next year just my opinion though

What's sadder is that we have to do this because our QB play last year was miserable.

People who bash the QB-hungry fans on this board fail to address the fact that our rookie QB looked like a joke out there last year.

I don't care about the extenuating circumstances.

He looked like a bum.

I hope he's the next Steve Young, but he looked like a bum.

i think its true...yet a little strong...I do expect,IMO,that John Beck will have the starting job,however if he slips up and fumbles the ball 3 times in a game again,McCown and Henne would split some time of the rest of the season

after all he IS not just a 2nd round pick, but a late 2nd rounder and as we know from past Ryan discussions, these guys don't cost too much and are expendable for the next 1 year college franchise messiah to rise from the ranks. If we could draft 2 QBs in a row, no reason we can't draft 3, eh?

He made mistakes, but the whole team did. I am just not ready to throw the towel in on a guy after 4 games. The team was just horrible last year and even games when we were close it was still ugly. It had to be some of the worse football I have ever seen.
