Dear beloved Dolfans,

Please relax, yes this game was abissmal, a horrible dissapointment, but it will be the last of its kind for this season. Where as last year it came in the tenth game of the season when it was too late, we have seen this year's rock bottom in week 2. If you watch closely, Daunte had a nice completion percentage (71%). He showed he can get the yards he needs in the last two weeks. Ronnie looks GREAT, he is a moster who runs through holes, breaks tackles and doesnt mind sharing the load or taking it on himself, not to mention is there any question the guy can catch and run like any back in the league? Our recievers are explosive and wes welker looks like he will be a big player in 2006, much improved from previous years.

So, why did we get BEAT today you ask? Simple, a new o line that needs to start gellin, an eager qb wanting to prove himself a little too much, and a secondary that needs some help. These are all things that were a problem last year in our 3-7 point. But they were ironed out with time and experience. The o line needs to gel again because its relatively new, and a key injury to mckinney makes it so that were woekin on the center position, the most complex position on the line...As far as Cpep goes. He improved from last game, got his first td score and one less INT,much better completion percentage. He will realize its time to calm down and stop trying to be super man on every play, as soon as he stops forcing the issue, we will have a MONSTER qb.

Mularkey:I distinctely remember how much we all LOATHED Linehans inability to run the football at this point last year, we were all calling for his head. At the end of the season, we loved our offense. Its the same thing with Mularkey, he needs to get on the same page with Saban, and Saban wont take long to tell him what he expects in the future like he did with Linehan. Before long, Mularkey will do as Linehan and move down to the field, and start calling the game the way Saban sees it. We will see much improved offensive calling starting NEXT WEEK.

Our secondary will struggle all year, they lag behind the rest of the team in terms of skill. Yet as long as they minimize the STUPID big play, we will be ok. Our front seven is good enough to get us in favorable 3rd down situations, our secondary juts needs to learn to hold on when it realy counts.

All in all my friends, we will have a good season. These things will be corrected way before we can get to 3-7. we will be a solid team who just got slapped in the face with a wake up call. Not to mention we have much more favorable things to look forward to. Such as Wes Welker, we now have three threats at reciever, and other teams know this. We wil be a good team, so relax, save your "most embarassing game ever" thread for another season, because this is just what we needed. :dolphins:

they showed no energy today., They mailed this one in. I find this disturbing for a home opener. They must have been reading the newspaper clips about superbowl contenders. If they lose next week its over. I don't care how optimistic you are.

no way

forget your optimism buddy. MULARKY sucks. He couldn't even coach us to a win against his old team. Come on man. He needs to go.

one other thing

he finally thought about throwing to Chamberrs in the 4th quarter! TOO LATE DUDE!

I want linehan back....i felt really confident in his playcalling. But, alas, hes w/ St. Louis

We are just being rational. The dolphins looked terrible today. It looks like we will finish under .500. Saban was outcoached by Jauron. The O-line looked terrible. Culpepper looks like drew bledsoe in the pocket. Ronnie Brown looked really good, and our secondary looked poor. More importantly, it was against the Buffalo Bills, at dolphin stadium. We should be concerned.

That being said, we are 0-2, and still have time to turn it around.

Sorry man bt they took a BIG STEP BACK today. Losing to the defending Superbowl champs, at home, in the opener is one thing. Losing to a ROOKIE D in your home opener, is something else. IF the Phis go 0-3, and that's a REAL possibility, THEY FINISHED.

Dawt.

The Bills and the Browns are completely different situations.

The offensive playcalling had no rythm to it. we abandonded the run too early for the second week in a row, we took no legitamate shots down field in the first three quarters, to many "stupid" penalties on O, and duante played a bad game. not too many positives that you can take from this game. moral victories only account for so much-at some poin you have to produce real results.....

If we start Harrington next week I will not be a Dolphin fan anymore, that is how disgusted I would be.

i found it funny at the end of the game when one of the announcers said this team needs to be coached up....really its three things that need to be coached up O-Line, Daunte, and Mularkey

Even if he won the game? Because I haven't seen Culpepper do a lot of winning here.

Don't worry, unless CPep is hurt . . .u wont see Joey H. And rightfully so, the guy has busted his *** during the offseason to get back healthy and as Fans we shouldn't give up on this guy at all because he has all the tools, his confidence is shot (meaning he still isn't comfortable in the pocket due to what could be an accumulation of things). . . imagine if we bench him . . .that just is not the answer.
