Dear Santa,

Could you please give me a new offense for Christmas? The one I have doesn't work 90% of the time, and the OC in charge of it is well past his "Use By" date. Thanks.

Love, Stephen Ross

I've been saying all year long that the offense is at fault for a losing season, yet many others feel that we need to go heavy on defense in the draft. Yes, we do need another pass rusher, two cornerbacks, and someone who can cover WRs and TEs over the middle. But, this defense as-is just handed an easy win over the almighty Patriots to the offense; all they had to do was score a few points and they failed. I realize that Miami needs more playmakers on offense and better linemen, but at the moment they do have the talent to score more than a handful of points per game. I place 100% of the blame on Sherman. This offense has shown that they can move the ball, sustain drives, and get in the end zone. Unfortunately, that only happens once or twice per game. I'm no expert, but IMO better playcalling and creative use of personnel would have had the Fins looking at a playoff spot. Sherman may have been decent in the past, but no more. How many times has he faced sub-par defenses and made them look like the 85 Bears? SHERMAN MUST GO! For those who think that the problem is the players and not the playcaller, look back at the end of the Seattle game. They scored 17 points against a very good defense in the 4th quarter. It's not the players! Sherman got lucky with his playcalling in that game. It must have been luck, because he called a terrible game today.

I'm sorry to inform you but Santa Claus isn't real

Seriously though how can you blame Sherman for all our shortcomings and then attribute success his unit has had to luck?

Ridiculous.

Seriously, how can you NOT blame Sherman? His offense is vanilla and predictable.

Sherman really is bad at calling plays. I still have yet to see a complete game. This offense has not changed one bit from what it was last year. It is boring and predictable.

I never said I don't blame Sherman for our poor offensive play. I questioned how the OP could blame him for the bad and not credit him for the good.

Be careful when asking Santa for ANYTHING!! I think he might be gettng ol, and losing his mind. Last year I asked him for a fat bank account, and a thin wasteline, and he TOTALLY got them reversed.

Dear Santa,

You suck! That's right I said it; you stink on ice. If I lived in Philly I'd boo you. All of Dolphins fandom has been asking for the same doggone thing for the last 40 frikin years now, and you still can't deliver. So forget it, put that sack over your head you loser.

An' keep your stanky ass out all our chimneys this Christmas, we're tired of your bullsh**; you're done… we don't need ya no more.

PS, tell that fat ho in your shack up North to 'sit on it'. Pffffffftt!!

It was poor wording on my part. Sherman does do okay at times, like last week's 4th quarter. I shouldn't have said that he got lucky... I should have said that his poor playcalling is far more frequent than his good playcalling. I don't believe that he plays to the strengths of his personnel. He may be decent when the offense is loaded with talent, but he's not very good at making the most of what he has. I will admit that the lack of talent is part of the problem, but as others have said, his offense is vanilla and conservative.

I realize that it's a "rebuilding" year, but it's extremely frustrating to see this team at 5-7 when one more stinkin' TD per game would possibly have them at 8-4 or better! The defense, under a rookie DC, has also undergone changes from last year but they have kept Miami in nearly every game. It's the offense under the experienced veteran Sherman that comes up short week after week... even against so-called poor defenses. I know that they should (hopefully) be better next year after the draft and free agency, but I think that it's time for Sherman to call it a day.

What? You're kidding, right?

I really have no qualms with Sherman. Any offense can seem vanilla with a lack of speed and execution. We don't have a "go to" guy on our offense.

In B4 the Brandon Marshall hind-sighters...

dear santa
i will buy my own presents you fat judgemental bastard.

The West Coast Offense is predicated on timing and separation at no time do our receivers have separation from the defenders. And say what you will it seems Hartline runs 1 route well diving toe tappers at the sideline. Other than the over throw he has no speed to get to a ball that is thrown ahead to continue the route. Nice to see that our Third round draft pick is being protected from injury by being inactive for a 12th straight week !

Also say what you want, the LB play yesterday was horrible their coverage on the TE was horrible and they ran hot the routes to Welker vs LB due to slow and poor coverage. They did a poor job in the run game as well !

The defense is nothing to write home about...when was the last time they stopped a team from ramming it down their throats?

Yea...
