Now to ever wish an injury on a player and with all the debate here whether or not Henne should start, how about this:

If Chad P gets hurt, do you start the rookie or Beck?

Thoughts?

id go beck for now, even though i really think he sucks....then if he looses a few straight toss in henne

Well if pennington does get injured in a game beck would be inactive anyways but if we had to start a game i would put beck in if penny is injured within the first 10 games but if its in the last 6 games i would put henne in.

Henne. I seriously do not think Beck should be on this team.

Beck did make some nice throws last year, but it seems like he completely regressed this season. If its early in the season you maybe go with beck so in case Henne struggles you don't have to bench him his first year and possibly ruin his morale. Who knows, we could see a different side from Beck. You never know.

I wonder if Penny got hit while he was passing going down, if the ball would go any further.

I concur. I guess what I am trying to determine is how those fans that say they don't want Henne to start now in fear of shaking his confidence, feel if this situation comes up.

To me I go Henne. I watched him at the Big House for 4 years. He's incredibly tough both physically and mentally. He would undoubtedly have moments of confusion, good games and bad games but he won't get rattled by the game action or the media. Barring injury, I think he sits all season except in mop up time then competes for the starting position next year.

i think right now if Penny went down i would put in Beck, Henne is not ready yet and i think Beck would give us the best chance at this Point. Beck gives us the best chance now. Henne is future and needs to sit and learn.

I'd go with Beck. He's been in longer and has the best long ball of the three. We're being killed on offense because we're no threat of throwing the long ball.

Let Henne sit for a year or two.

I don't like putting in young QB's before they are ready, but Beck has shown so little to this point, while Henne has, that I don't even think the question will cross the team's mind.

Beck hopefuls should get a reality check. You don't play the third stringer in a blow-out...you play the backup....Did anyone see Beck out on the field on Sunday??? Didn't think so...:d-day:

I don't understand at all why what game of the season it is to start either guy.

Henne should start if Pennington gets hurt or not, let the kid play and develope some sort of chemistry with our young WR's. They can look back 10 years from now after 3 superbowl championships and laugh how bad it was in the beginning.

Henne, Ginn, and Brown could be our own three headed monster for years to come.
