Sorry for yet another Arrington post, however it seems to me that a dolphins decision on if they will bend on a contract may come down to draft day.

If and at this point I dont think its a stretch to think he will be available on the 29th, Arrington has not signed and miami cant get the LB in the draft they feel is worth the pick( IMO Hawk or Greenway---K.Wimbly & M.Lawson
are projects as OLB) then perhaps they make a call and get a contract sgned with LaVar.

I feel this is why Arrington has not signed he was hoping one of these other teams would come up with the money he was looking for, they havent so he will wait for the draft to unfold...I realize for him that may mean even less money then what may be on the table now...but if he feels like he isnt getting the money now...waiting and see if a team that had LB as a need and didnt fill it comes calling.

It probably will come down to draft day. There's no way we're getting Hawk or Greenway unless someone really screws up in workouts. Anyone else would still need some time to develop. If LaVar wants to win, he should come to Miami. He said we made a decent offer so unless someone really goes out on a limb and signs him to a fat contract, he should be a Fin.

According to Arrington this morning on "The Pulse", that money isn't the issue right now, it's more of he wants to make sure he is in the right situation for himself. They mentioned the Dolphins, and he said some good things about us said that we were a possibility for him.

That's all BS coming from him... He is all about money and alot of it.

I think its all about the money as well.Plus nick wont wait till the draft and not draft a lb in hopes he gets arrington .

Nick showed that once he's made a decision he goes for it, unlike Wanny who was at the beck and call of agents. Saban pulled the trigger on DC while Brees was still waffling so at some point he's going to either get Lavar or go in another direction.

It's a risk for Lavar to wait for the draft in many respects because his suitors will dwindle if they fill a need at LB, although I take the point some will take time to develop. I agree that unless some studpid team gives in and awards him a fat contract he'll end up a dolphin. And I don't think what he said on The Pulse could be true that it's not about the money otherwise he would have signed already. Does he think there's a better situation that here around that needs a LB? Surely not!!!

He can't wait until the draft the FA signing period ends April 21st,he must be somewhere by then or wait until June or something like that.
But no doubt it's all about the MONEY!!!

The draft is still three weeks away.....LA will be signed way before then....hopefully by the Phins.

I'm sure it's about the money, but you can't blame the guy for wanting one last big payday..Just give him a 8 year 50 mill contract with 7-8mill Guranteed...Or something like that he's earned it and worth it..either or I bet he's a fin by next week(knocks on wood) since time is ticking till the draft...

I agree with you on this one. It would be a big mistake for him to wait until draft day...actually, imho, his value and money really decrease after draft day. Even if teams (us included) don't get the LB we want in the draft, I just don't see Saban making a lunge at him then. He is a very impatient man, and will want to be rolling out of blocks come May 1... Teams will come out of the draft being "ready" to go, not still looking for an impact player...

He'll never wait until draft day or even close to the day. If he does, not only will his options be severely cut, but his $$$ will go way down too. Why? Because several of the teams that are currently interested in him will end up taking a LB in the draft and backing out of the bidding war for LA. When there is less competition, there's less need to throw $$$ at the player. If he's smart, he'll sign in the next week with someone (hopefully us) and get decent pay and help the team move to address other needs in the draft. Let's see how smart LA really is !

You better hope not

I think it will be Jimmy Will @ 16

Get off the Williams DB drafting stuff.........he is not...i repeat not worth the pick......Lets get some OFF....whether its the USC tackle or the MIA tackle....or for heavens sake maybe even get Chad Jackson ....the more weapons for Pepper the better our chances.
