MY KINGDOME FOR A QB WHO CAN THROW DEEPBALLS! lol

I've been trying to make a similar point but I am stressing that we employ what we are already doing and at least introduce the threat of the long ball. It stretches the middle of the field and opens up running room as the safeties can't cheat up. Since we are in effect platooning the QB position with PW coming in and running the Wildcat already, why not put PW or Henne in on 1st and 2nd and Penny in for what he does best on thirds or hurry up offense?

Who's gonna catch the "deep balls?"

We threw 3 such balls, 30 -40 yds down the field and went 0 - 3 on monday night!!!

Good point. But until we find a receiver to catch the deep throw we're stuck with those same receivers catching passes underneath with two safeties playing back to front. (note: it's a lot easier for a safety to run forward than it is to run back.)

Jaworski run his mouth on Ginn so all the Ginn haters jumped at the chance to validate their bias. There's even posts saying those passes to Ginn were near perfect and even perfect.

Let's stop making it sound like we have a bunch of bumbling idiots at receiver. If you pick your spots and take chances down the field it usually pays off. Unfortunately we don't have a qb that believes in taking shots down the field. If we didn't go deep on a night when we ran for 240 yards, it's just not happening. Ginn missed a couple of opportunities but he has NOT been known for having bad hands since he came here. All it takes is a couple of drops for you guys to write someone off. Ridiculous as usual.

For myself I'm actually ok with Ginn as a deep threat. I think he's a wimp after the catch however. But if we're hitting him on sideline streaks or posts over the safeties there's not much chance of him taking a big hit and he'll usually outrun anybody once he's by them antway.

Soooo, he shouldn't hit him in the hands?

Bottomline on the Ginn pass(es): Both sides could justify their bias with:
1.) A true number one would catch these catchable passes. or
2.) Even number ones drop these passes on occasion (see TO's drop on Sunday).

I don't see any other viable assessment, as the pass(es) were catchable and Ginn does typically have reliable hands on par with the majority of other number ones.
