Watching kiko interview on the Dan lebatard show. He just killed it and opened up a lot we need to post it in this thread somehow.

He talked about his family and how they celebrated Castros death. Admitting he had bad blood torwards Kap for wearing the Castro shirt. Talked about how this is the most fun he ever has had in football. Etc.. Kiko even called the show back to talk to lebatards father

So fitting he was in on that last tackle.

Letter to the front office...please sign Alonso and Branch to long-term deals. Thank you.

Agreed man! Their energy and play has really helped this team. Not just the defense! Alonso is quickly becoming my fav player!!

No kidding! They'd be stupid NOT to re-sign Alonso. Not just for his stuff on the field, but his Cuban heritage makes him a fan favorite! Ross has GOT to realize that!

Kiko is making loads of plays but still has to tighten up some of his coverage

When he was in Buffalo I knew he would be an issue to deal with for years to come. I was elated he was traded and ecstatic when the Dolphins traded for him. He is a playmaker that is always around the ball. Would love to have him at the Will but good Mike's are hard to find and he's doing a great job so no issues keeping him in the middle.

The section with his dad talking to Kiko was funny

I was a big fan of this kid from his Buffalo days. What I really mean is I hated the idea of playing his ass for the next ten years

Glad hes on the right side of the rivalry now.

Agree, but Kiko has a rare gift that he's so confident that he will make the play. He was a bit like this in his rookie season in Buffalo, when he won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the year award. There was a reason Chip Kelly traded LeSean McCoy to get Alonso at the Eagles. As it turns out, it took Kiko longer to come back from the surgery and Philadelphia never saw his true ability last year. However, he is back now and with his Cuban heritage, Miami is a great fit.
It will also be interesting to see what effect Kiko can have on Dion Jordan. They were roommates at Oregon and remain best friends. If anyone can straighten big Dion out and help him to realize his athletic potential, it's Kiko.
