He has been beat by:

McCarthy with 5 games as Head Coach.
Mangini with 5 games as Head Coach.
Kubiak with 3 games as Head Coach.
Jauron with 1 game as Head Coach.

That not enough for you, consider this: the Dolphins have two of those teams Head Coaches from last year on staff and should have had nice edge when playing their former teams...still the Dolphins got beat.

Still not convenced? All the above teams are getting far more from their lone years draft than Saban has in his two years (Mangini is playing SIX rookies).

One examples Jets Rookie RB 2 100 yard games and Brown with just 1

Saban isn't the only problem with this team but he is the biggest.

By the way, save the Wanny residual comments because ALL the above Coaches took overbad teams.

Ohh...how about the Saints? Maybe Sean Payton just hasn't read these
boards to realize you should suck the first twoyears.

Your points are valid, but don't forget Jauron was a head coach for the Bears before his tenure began in Buffalo.

I'll defend Mularky and the offensive game plan.... but only for the Green Bay game..

Facts:

We have no o-line that can open holes for a running back
The Green Bay secondary is horrible at pass defense..

So when game planning for that game, I too would go with a passing scheme vs trying to find balance running the ball..

the jets offensive line is a lot better then ours, they have two first round picks starting for it. We simply don't have that, also i'd like to say that every QB we've played this season has outplayed our QB each week. (that includes Losman)

Im not mad at saban....im mad at chris chambers, im mad at zach thomas, im mad at Jeno James. These are supposed to be our cornerstones for their respective positions. They've all played pretty terrible so far. Im not gonna blame the coach when players who have been in the league for almost 10 years are not performing well.

So Saban is to blame for this squad? Guess what, EVERYONE overrated this team (including me). The 2006 Miami Dolphins are not a good football team. Lombardi could do nothing with them. They are a BAD team and Saban needs as much time as Jimmy and Dave had. I'll blame Saban in 09.

two years ago there were three teams that were the worst in the league. Each one of them got new coaches

The Browns, the 49ers and the Dolphins. Each one of those teams are still doing bad.

I don't see your point, they took over bad teams that have been bad for long periods of time.

If your picking in the top ten of the draft every year for 10 years eventually good things will happen.

Just be patient bottom line.

we didn't do bad last year.

We need to get rid of the excess rubbish weve somehow picked up and finally trade some of the older supposedly "star" players weve got. We may get some value picks for them which im praying we can convert to future talent. Our defensive backfield is IMO sub standard and im being kind with that comment. Our O-Line needs a real plan that will bring very good college players and that will have instant impact. Carey is probably our best O-Lineman and he wasnt given an immediate start, it took 2 seasons for our coaches to give him his chance.
Regarding Saban. Who knows. His judgement is called into serious question already with his Culpepper/Malarkey choices which have cost this team already. Im a Dolphin fan, not a Saban fan so im not going to put my liking for Saban overshadow the bigger picture. Right now we are worse than bad and im not happy with the way this team is turning out to play week after week.

Defend Saban if you want but...

He is still going to be on the phone with his shrink looking for coaching advice :sidelol:

Why do I get the feeling if I said "Sabans first round picks are not showing first round talent" your excuse then would be "they are young, give them a few years"

One way or the other folks.

And nothing stood in Sabans way of drafting o-line anyway.

Does Saban catch passes? Throw picks? tackle?

I didn't think so. How is he responsible for guys dropping passes and missing assignments? How much coaching do you need for a guy to catch a ball? Chances are they've been catching balls since they were 10 years old.

How can it all be his fault?

Maybe we should line up v. carey as a wide out? He seemed to have some soft hands yesterday! lol

Shouldn't dropped passes be addressed by practice drills. Shouldn't practices address individual assignments. We have had these problems all year and they are not improveing. These are all coachable issues especially when you talk about assignmnets.

Saban is 100% responsible for our play on the field. Period!

ya this isnt all sabans fault but i think he needs to bench people and show if you dont do things we expect of than you dont play maybe then people will show up to play games
