Yes, he is a terrible coach and should be fired.
But I don't think that Don Shula or Vince Lombardi could win 6 games with this group.
lets take an honest look at this teams talent or lack of.
Taking off our Aqua colored glasses.
Defense is probably one of the worst in the league.
The Dline is completely over rated. worse than last year.
Wake is either hurt or on the downside of his career.
Suh has not showed up. Teams are blocking him one on one.
The LB are atrocious.
Even Jenkins is mediocre but compared to the other LB on team he seems like a superstar.
Our DB's are probably the worst in the league.
Grimes is on the downside of his career.
The one bright spot is Rashad Jones. other than him the safety's are terrible.
On offense, other than Landry, what do we have?
The Oline is a joke. Lamar Miler is mediocre.
The other WR's are serviceable but nothing special.
Not including Parker because he never on the field.
And Tanny looks like he has regressed this year, although a lot of that is probably the Oline.
Although he still is inaccurate at times and still has no touch on the long pass.
Yes, I am still a Dolfan and always will be, but I can't see this team winning more than 4 games this year.
Hope I'm wrong.

When nobody on the team can figure out how to pick up a blitz, is that a talent issue or a coaching issue? When the secondary is being told to play 10 yards off of the line of scrimmage on 3rd and 3, is that a talent issue or a coaching issue?

There are a number of individual players who are not very good starters on this team. You can probably name a couple of them right off the top of your head.

But the constant breakdowns, screwups, and general impotence of this team is WELL beyond what its talent level would indicate.

A better coach could scheme ways to overcome the deficiencies on the roster.

When Devante Parker is on the bench for Greg Jennings, and the offensive coordinator decides to call multiple plays that were designed to be 'go up and get it' calls for Devante, is that on the talent or the coaching?

Even Philbin's defenders start off posts by saying he should be fired. LOL

BUT...... I had to give you the thumbs down for defending the worst coach in Dolphins History

Was thinking the same thing, those looked like Parker plays no?

The entire staff has had several years to not be bull**** and they can't get out of their own way. They all need to go.

According to reporters who cover the team, those plays were put in for Parker. Yes.

It's super weird to me because apparently Joe called out Lazor going into the half? It's like they're sniping at each other passive aggressively here.

I still say Cameron was the worst. Philbin is a close second.

At least Cameron knew when to call a timeout. Philbin has displayed unequaled incompetence since day 1. I stand by my statement..... Philbin is the worst

Why does Philbin wear a headset?

Is it so he can jump in when things go south and take charge?

We drafted the guy in the 1st round! Play him already. We have not played our only star in the Dline, the only sack, Jordan Phillips.

I think everyone is misunderstanding what I said.
Yes Philbin is terrible coach and should be fired.
And Don Shula is 1,000 times better coach than Philbin.
But there is a definite lack of talent on this team that myself and others did not see or predict.
And yes a better coach could and would get a few more wins than Philbin, but this team as it is right now
does not have playoff talent
