Defense Defense Defense!!

If we want to contend in 2011 we need to sign a veteran WR like Antonio Bryant and then draft Defense with the exception of a few players. Defense wins championships am i right. if you look at the past 7 years, the two teams that were in the super bowl had steller defenses. the 06 seahawks did not have a great offense but they made up with it with there defense as did the 07 bears and the 03 Raiders. When Ronnie was not injured we showed that our offense could succeed. But it is very hard to win whenever you give up almost 25 points every game. Does anyone else agree

Or we can pick up A. Rolle, D'Quell Jackson and Ryan Picket and draft Dez Bryant. WE would be better off that way, IMO. We can still draft D, after we get a legit weapon.

As far as the draft the fins need to take the BPA on Offense or defense, Dez Brant, CJ Spiller on offense, or one of the stud LB's on defense. Alot will depend on what is done during FA, the draft will hopefully fill the rest of the holes.

We were 30th in the NFL in giving up pass plays over 20 yards and tied for last in giving up pass plays over 40 yards. Until we improve on defense we will always find ourselves playing catchup with a young QB and a group of young WRs.

Get B.Marshall and keep the same defense and we will be lucky to win 7 games again. Get the best FS available in FA and keep the same offense and we win atleast 10 games!

Fix the defense foremost and then fill in where you can on offense.

your contention that defense wins championships is inaccurate. its a virus of the mind that continues to be regurgitated over and over and over by the main stream media who simply dont look into the matter themselves perhaps because they are too ignorant or too lazy...and they begin to believe their own fallacy. Then we as fans begin to believe it. ITS NOT ACCURATE. it would probably be MORE accurate to say GREAT OFFENSES win championships than the opposite. Rams, 49ers 4x, Broncos 2x, Colts, etc etc. The truth is offense probably plays a bigger role than defense, but most importantly stellar quarterback play. There are VERY few super bowl winners that didnt have one of the top QUARTERBACKS in the game when they won a championship. So while defense CAN win championships as shown by the 85 bears 2000 ravens and 2002 bucs, and parcells Giants if you want to include them (even tho the quarterback play they had was outstanding in both games). more often than not its the team that controls the game offensively that wins the big one. To win a championship, or to get there, a team needs to be GREAT on one side of the ball, and efficient on the other. but DEFENSE DOES NOT WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS its a fallacy. great TEAMS win championships or if you want to narrow it down to one thing...GREAT QUARTERBACKS win championships...so pray that Henne becomes great! or that we find that guy thats top 5 in the league....it will give us the best chance. but unlike the YEARS we went without drafting a quarterback...or trading good picks for poor ones. this regime will mine for a quarterback EVERY year....even if we already have one. just be grateful we finally have somebody who gets it in charge! look how much talent he left Dallas with...look at how much talent he left the Jets with after a shot period and look at what New England had in place when he left. Parcells WILL find the talent given time

The Dolphins definately need a stud with the #1 pick regardless if they pick offense or defense. I just hope they concentrate more on defense during the draft. Defenses does win Championships believe it or not. Bill P will make it happen, I have all the trust in him. I find it crazy when people think Defense dont win Superbowls. Just look at the Tampabay Bucs in 2003, that is a perfect example that Defenses do win Championships cause their offense was mediocre at best. For crying out loud Trent Dilfer was the QB. Com'on people!!!
