Defense,,free ticket.,.. why ?

Why is it the defense is getting a free pass ?
Henne is not the problem at theis point in time...
As usual our defnse collapsing at critical moments is the issue.
First thing we need to do is cut JT,,, for what ever reason the last few seasons he has been with the team the D has been less than spectacular down the stretch.

2009 with JT bad D
2008 no JT Good D
2007 With JT Suck.

this defense ****ing blows. ill say it, i dont care if i get ripped. this whole team right now is in shambles, but this defense being elite? ha ha.

they cant make a critical stop on defense to save their lives. ya, maybe they can hold a team on defense with like 10 minutes remaining in the 3rd qtr up by 3 pts, but when it comes down to the pivotal stop, when a team that has not done **** the whole day needs to march down the field 80 yds, not for a fg, but a touchdown or nothing and the defense allows them to do so, so easily, its sickening.

also, why the **** were we rushing 3 guys on the last drive like we were playing prevent? u dont play prevent defense with 2 plus ****ing minutes left in a game. sickening. nolan deserves blame also, lots of it.

Who's giving the D a free ticket? Why are so many posters putting words in other people's mouths to give their shared opinion an "I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG" tone. The D struggled to get consistent pressure, and the secondary broke down at the worst possible times, and the playcalling on that last drive was horrendous. The D effed up again.

Show me a "shutdown" defense in the NFL this year...There are NONE. The days of 3 yards and a cloud of dust are gone and the game has changed. They talked about this on the NFL shows all week how the rules favor the WR's & you dare not hit a QB. The NFL wants points...Lots of them.

Bottom line? Score more points....to do so you need a great QB and strong offense in general neither of which we have on this team. The defense? You hope and pray they can hold a team to less than 30.

The execution is piss poor, nobody has a killer instinct, we have no pass rush, we get gashed up the middle on running plays constantly, and we need the ball gift-wrapped to have any chance at a turnover. Plus every time we do make a stop we tack on a stupid penalty at the end of the play to keep the opposing offense on the field. It's pathetic. Yes, it's execution, but execution is a reflection of the way the team is coached. If you don't coach discipline your team won't have discipline. Plain and simple.

Meanwhile...why isn't anyone calling Carpenter out yet? He needs to get his **** together or get the hell out of the NFL.
