Defense on 3rd and 10+

Am I the only one who feels as though the opponent is converting on like 90% of tries? This is absolutely killing us....

Has there been any mention of this to coaches during interviews? Any Comments?

What are your thoughts on why this is happening?
I believe our DB's are playing to far off the line of scrimmage and we often times blitz without any results leaving the rb an open lane on screens.

Danell Ellerbee was missing from the middle against Buffalo, that is/was the biggest reason IMO.

These occurrences have not been isolated to the buffalo game alone, and yes his absence did hurt us in the last game.

Coyle needs to stop dialling up a blitz every time it is 3rd and forever. The opposition know it's coming and convert with a simple screen pass. Letting Sproles pick it up was bad enough but to let it happen again going against a rookie QB backed up close to his endzone is awful. You have to anticipate the Bills O coordinator giving the rookie an easy read in that situation.

I would also like to see our Cb's in man coverage and our Safeties and Lbs running downhill towards the player rather than (using a baseball term) playing "no doubles" defense
