We have had a lot of threads about the improvement of the o-line, but what about the d-line or front seven to be more exact. They have improved dramatically with the additions of Ferguson, Merling, Langford, and Starks, from last year to now. Just look at the stats for each weeks leading rusher.

Week 1 vs. Jets: Thomas Jones rushed for 101 and a TD

Week 2 vs Cards: Edgerin James rushed for 55 and no TD's

Week 3 vs Pats: Sammy Morris rushed for 27 and no TD's

Week 5 vs Chargers: LT rushed for 35 and no TD's

We also have 12 sacks and 11 tackles for loss.

I say keep up the great work front seven and we will have more chances to win than not.

I am seriously impressed with the D-lines play. Only Ferguson has pro experience in s 3-4 and these young guys have just stepped in and own the line......each week they grow more and more......i mean holding LT and Sproles for a combined 59 yards and river to 46% completion the pocket was tiny....these guys will continue to get better and better. Look from them to help us lock up games by making people one dimensional. If they do that our game plan will get easier

i have to agree, the D-Line is definitely playing tough&aggressive...collapsing pockets, pressuring QBs,getting sacks and/or are getting in on sacks, stopping the run...we have to give the D-Line their props...they're getting the job done and playing damn good football....

Can't really say they're playing better, when I think our D-line has played well all year. I think they have been the one constant on our team so far...

yea its nice this year to force teams to throw on us instead of just running the ball allllllllll game long

I think the D-line will be the difference this week in Houston. Poor Schaub or Sage whoever gets to play.
