I have seen a thousand complaints and views about this position.

Well?? Does anyone think they have a good answer?

Trade? Remaining free agents?? Draft??

Who is right for the Dolphins?

Anyone_____

All we need is a vet rotational player. Our two starters are already set. The Poe situation was just a matter of a player being too good of a talent and fit to not take a swipe at. It would be a huge waste of a pick to take one before the 5th round, and I wouldn't give up more than a 7th rounder via trade for a vet.

Still some decent options on the market.

This thread was kinda about posts like yours actually naming the," decent options on the market."

There only 4 top 20 DT in the FA left u got DT Hankins & DE /DT Walker & DE/DT Orrick & DT Mark. Mark &Orrick &Walker all got cut because they weren't playing up 2 there contact.

It's not a great list, especially past Hankins. Dolphins might be waiting to see if someone gets cut in the next week or so, otherwise wait until after the draft to see who gets cut.

HANKINS PAY HIM GET HIM HERE cut misi and Jordan that pays for him we still have 15-20 million in space left we cut these two scrubs misi and Jordan free up 10 million have 5 for rookies and we carry over 10. Next year Maxwell gets cut Hayes is gone. We're set at DT for a long time. Focus on lb and ol this year and pass rushers next year.

They are not paying Hankins 10+ Mil per year.

SenDerrick Marks & Ricky Jean-Francois are about all that's left worth a darn.

I wonder if we didn't pull the plug on Earl Mitchell a little too soon.

I feel like our FO has this crazy idea that players will somehow take less money for the chance to play in Miami for Adam Gase. That's not always going to be the case, as we all saw with Dontari Poe, especially when the team that's offering more money also happens to have been in the Super Bowl recently.

We can't keep getting into bidding wars for FAs that just want to chase the money. We need to start developing our own players better, and Jordan Phillips needs to be the proof of that.

Agreed, but there's a difference between taking a LITTLE less to play in Miami and taking $4mm less

Well, in all fairness to the staff, with some players you just can't make it work - regardless of coaching. Despite public protestations to the contrary, our staff may be coming to that conclusion with Phillips. Regardless, this is the make-or-break year for the man.
