Deion Branch prepares to hold out

They have a TON of money under the cap too. They really ought to pay the man, I'm surprised he's played 4 years of that ridiculous 5 year rookie deal.

I thought they resigned him already. If they haven't that's ridiculous. Hopefully they are like the Eagles and believe in players fulfilling their contractual rights. Then Branch can hold out the whole year.:goof:

agreed...

I don't understand why the Pats didn't give him a contract extension right after the season. Branch proves to be a clutch player and you always can depend on him when you need to make a big play.

I hope that they continue to play hard ball with him. If they manage to let him go, that will only weaken that team. Bad for them, go for us.

they will give him the money he deserves

theu really cant afford to let him go.

Wait... has New England been in the process of moving in a different direction? And parting with Branch?

I was talking on BuffaloRange.com last week about a 3-Team trade that apparently is in the works... that involves bringing Lelie to New England.

I dont get this trade. Lelie has said he wants to go somewhere and be the #1. He wont be the #1 over Branch. Lelie aint that great...

Not to mention, Chad Jackson will be biting at his heals for the #2 and probably take that from him in a year...
Do you think with the drafting of C-Jack and possible aquisition of Lelie... they dont plan on extending Branch and will be willing to part with him?

They really can't afford to lose him. But read that quote from Billicheck.

That sounds like he doesn't want to go out and talk to Branch. I'm sure he will, but this could bode some bad blood in New England throughout camp.

That sounds like the same thing he said to Richard Seymour last year. It means he wont negotiate with terrorists. And by that I mean he wont negotiate with a player who is holding the team hostage.

Its a great policy. F*** holdouts. Get into camp and work out your s*** there...

I just heard about this on the radio...... Another piece of the puzzle possibly gone in Foxboro??

Deon Will be signed to a new contract before camp starts. The pats have plenty of cap space and provided Branch ask for a fair deal he should get it. This is just part of the negotiating process. Gezz its not like he's just failed a 4th banned substance test and isn't allowed to play. :sidelol: :nana:

Yawn. Way to do any homework before your comedic claim.

Same thing as Seymour, with less to stand on. This is just to show that he wants a new deal, and just like Seymour, will at camp and later he will get a new deal. This has been known for weeks now.

Pretty sad that you need to post a non-story to get your jollies. At least do a bit of research before just throwing a bucket of $hit against the wall.
