I really like the idea of signing GB's C and moving Pouncey to OG. Deitrich-Smith played at the same level as Pouncey, and Pouncey is a better OG than anyone else who was/is out there. JMO I've seen where we are interested but, nothing more.

We probly inquired about if he would play G or not.

pouncey is the one bit of our line that isnt broken, I wish people would stop trying to break it

lets just get an RT and then draft an OG in the 1st round (Martin?) Let Brenner, Garner, Jerry all battle it out for the LG spot. Seahawks proved that you don't need a dominant OL to win super bowls, just an average one. You need DEFENSE to win super bowls.

Possibly but, he was better at C, and having a very athletic Pouncey at OG is something I would really like to see.

I'm wondering if we will have interest in Schwartz as well. He is not as athletic as Asamoah but had the better year. He is also bigger, not a bad thing in our division.

Jerry is gone. Garner is not a starter, and Brenner likely needs another year.

Need someone... I'd be happy with him at C. Pouncey could be an elite guard

A couple of things about Pouncy......he loves to play Center so I'm not sure e'd be ok with oving to guard. Also, yes he can move but would he be over match as far as taking on those big DT's in front of him. At center he has help and it's all about being quick but is he big and strong enough to play guard?

Ozzy rules!!

Good point. I believe he is, and would be better than Beadles or Asamoah. When a ZBS clicks with the right fits, it does make up for many of the size differences. JMO

I think we need 2 more guards and a rt we have no one on the roster id feel comfortable starting.

I hear we are also interested in Darryn Colledge at OG. He might be a solid player we could add at a reasonable price.

I think if we did bring in EDS, we would be moving Pouncey to LG and likely not re-signing him once he hits free agency.

This draft is deep at OT, especially RT, but not so deep at OG for ZBS teams like us. It is ridiculously deep for WR and CB. Teams can literally find starters in rounds 5-7.

That is a major reason we are seeing the OT's not named Albert or Saffold get reasonable contracts, whereas guys like Grimes and Decker do not command top dollar.

Seriously, when was the last time a top CB was pricing around the same numbers as a good but not great OG?

Schwartz signed with the Giants yesterday right away, and IMO he was much better than asamoah. Has great feet, great punch and would have been a great get. Not happening.

Let's let our experienced line coaches work with Pouncey and see if they can fix some of those deficient tendencies. Even with those tendencies he's still a top3 center in the league yet people want to change his position to G.
