Last year we started out 0-2 and everyone was posting start Henne threads etc.. We played a team that was ok and we got beat because we turned the ball over 4 times...

Last year we played an ok team and got beat by a lucky throw and catch if you recall by Favre and whoever that lucky ******* was...

game two last year was a different story.

Chill out with the Pennington hate threads just because we had a bad offensive game. Defense looked pretty good.

Atlanta was fun. Michelle (of the two Michelles was hot) :hitit: :chuckle:

Lets get ready for next week.

last year has nothing to do with this year. We also lost week one in 2007

What? typical dlocks post. First you say that the past has nothing to do with present than you bring up 2007. When you talk do you spin in circles like a figure skater.

You ever ever hear of learning from the past and building upon it.

Exactly, and let us not forget what really happened in 07...

1.We lost our starting QB.
2. We lost our two starting RBs.
3. We lost the heart of our defense when Zach went out.
4.We lost 5 safeties, 1 after another.
5. We traded our 2nd biggest weapon on offense
6. We had 2 backup QBs that were way over their heads
7. We had a HC that should have stayed at coordinator
8. We had a D-coordinator that was confused, and did not know what to do anymore, then again, could have been more Cam's fault then Capers though.
 
We will be fine next week when we are 1-1 after beating the Colts at home.

how is this typical anything. Just pointing out that 0-1 in 2007 had nothing to do with 2008 much like this year. Please point out anything I have just spun in circles on on. Of course u can learn from the past but pointing out we started the same in 2008 does not mean we will do the same as 2009.
 
Deja Vu?

At what point of this season do we have a stretch against the 49ers, Raiders, Seahawks, Rams and Chiefs? There is no stretch where this team will 10 of 11 games. Looking at the schedule i was thinking we'd be lucky to win 8 even if we could somehow beat Atlanta. Now i don't even know.

This team might not win five games if they played like they did yesterday. I'm not confident they'll beat even the Jets or Bills looking like this.

This has nothing to do with anything I said.
As for some of these.
1 we were 0-4 with green
2-we were 0-7 with Brown playing the best he ever has
3-We were 0 for something when zach went out
6- we have no more proven backups right now
8 -capers was awesome the year before and has been a good coordinator most of his career.

But back to my point I was only replying to the people that said we lost the first game last year. This is not last year.
 
It can only get better guys, and I guarentee that it will. We don't have the most talented group on offense, but they are the same group that was talented enough to win 11 games last season. We will be fine.

again winning 11 games last year is immaterial. many teams win 11 games and crash to earth.

I was making the point that we have the talent to win. I totally agree that last year is over. I'm trying to be optimisitc here and keep myself from jumping off the cliff too damn it! :chuckle:

well dont do that. But we could be in a bad year or a good year. There is alot of football to be played.
