Dennis Dixon anyone?

Been wanting him as soon as I knew he was a FA (he's a FA, right).

i honestly wouldn't mind getting him.... he's always been a playmaker and i prefer him to vince young ( in the pros)

I don't think it would be a bad idea. He may not be a starter but he would be great to have as a backup for 2nd or 3rd string.

LOL - I just posted on him in that other "what's left in FA" thread. I think he'd be worth looking at. Always liked him at Oregon and think the ACL tear just killed his stock. He looked good against BAL a year ago.

He seems to have some upside - although IMO not as much as Devlin's...so i'm all for it too

Now this I don't understand.

Half the people around here sh*t bricks when Matt Moore was signed. Now, Moore may have been awful, but he has proven more in his career than Dixon. Moore has a few good games under his belt, while Dixon threw one TD pass in three starts.

I'm probably missing something really simple here, but this makes no sense.

He's better than Henne. However, he is not better than Devlin.

He's interesting. Says he wants to compete for a starting spot, and Miami is one of the best places for that at the moment. He's a RFA, so a late round draft choice would have to be surrendered, I believe. But with 4 QB's in camp I don't know how likely it is to bring him in.

i'd be all for giving him a shot...but with that stick figure body of his i don't see how he'd handle the hits he's gonna take in this league very long...i think it wouldn't be long before he'd be out hurt...rinse...repeat

Just roll with Henne. Don't waste any money on another QB unless he's Orton for a reasonable contract.
